Absolutely Dire! Avoid!!!!
Well, this proved to be a absolute cow field! It should be realistically closed over the winter if that's what they are offering as it was simply a bog! Balls plugging everywhere and managed to lose one in full sight on the fairway! Cannot understand why this place was open. Clearly the owners were desperate for the cash! Please AVOID AT ALL COSTSReviewer Rating

Shocking
First time of playing there and was really looking forward to it, ?65 for the round and thought I was going to be playing a top notch golf course, but it was far from that. Greens and tees were in good condition, but the fairways were in such a bad state that they had members out trying to repair the massive amount of turf pulled from the aerating machine on a large number of fairways. ?65 was not well spent on a course that should not be openReviewer Rating

Nice course with some shortfalls
Played the Waterfall this week. Thought the layout was superb with 2 excellent Par 3's and some very good Par 4's. Bunkers were well maintained. Didnt think the greens were that great though and tee boxes were poor. Course is quite punishing if you do not hit straight tee shots. Would play it again but other courses around locally of equal quality at better cost.Reviewer Rating

Great course, great hospitality
Our society played Mannings waterfall course on 16th September. It was in excellent condition. It favours the draw and elevated greens mean one or two more clubs. Greens were superb. The staff and management were really welcoming and the service food were really good, ditto the club house. Handicaps from 17 to 28 all scored between 29 and 36 (yellow tees) so a very fair test if you kept it on the fairways that were generally wide. A most enjoyable day at a highly recommended venue.Reviewer Rating

Only downside was the pace of play and the proshop's inability to honour our teetimes. This is probably the third year in a row where we have booked a golfbreak been given tee-times then turned up on the day to find our tee-time has been moved and not just by 10 or 20 mins this time by a whole hour.
The fact that the Kingfisher is now a 9 hole means that more people are being let on the Waterfall and unfortunately a lot of them can't play. We arrived on the tee on Sunday afternoon at our confirmed tee-time to find another group of 8 with the same tee time. The pro-shop said ours had been moved (effectively to fit them in) and therefore they went off first. Over 5 hours and plenty of hacking later both us and the course we glad to see the back of them. To top it off we then had to rush to the hotel and only made dinner by the skin of our teeth.
Golfbreaks you really need to do something about this.

We are very sorry to receive this feedback. Our greens were hollow cored in early April and unfortunately the cold spring has meant for unusually slow growth and therefore recovery. This is essential maintenance work designed for long term sustained green conditions and our current on course maintenance is focussed very much on speeding this recovery along. The improvements over the last few days are very encouraging. I’m sure golfers and golf clubs alike are longing for some prolonged periods of warmer weather!

Over the Hills
A lovely course but very hilly and wet so no buggies. I even saw some deer and a goat. Very friendly staffReviewer Rating

Amazing course!
What a great course and a good challenge. Quite hilly, so a buggy or trolley would definitely be recommended! Greens were challenging, and could have done with a cut, but we had rain then bright hot sunshine shortly after, so difficult to judge.Reviewer Rating
