Very Windy but course in good nick. Challenging especially on holes into wind. Playing very long in these conditions. Excellent value. Bacon roll, coffee and round 15 quid!

A great value for money course, £12 on a Twilight. You never seem to play the course the same way due to the winds. A real nice short par 4 opener followed by 17 other good holes. There are chances to get shots back on a good few holes, but if you miss fairways or greens the rough and bunkers will punish you.

I have always had a warm welcome from the staff here and always walk off looking forward to coming back. The one main let down that I have ever seen is only the entrance to the course, it does look a bit tatty on arrival, and because of this I have always put off playing here. After my first time, I felt as if I'd robbed myself of years of a good quality golf course.

I\'ve played some of the best golf courses in Europe, Australia, and Asia, and would place this in the top ten for having to think your way round. A true test off golf in the purest way. Has a links look about it but has Lakes instead of gorse, and lots of them, all well positioned along with well placed bunkers to catch that off line shot. A basket of balls on the driving range is advised before playing as you will need your best swing for this challenging course. Play the 6 hole academy short course for your wedge play and your ready for a very satisfying day. I can promise this place will get you going. The greens are Immaculate, very friendly people, staff and members. Green fee\'s are very sensible along with membership costs. All the previous groundwork has now been manicured and it looks a picture. All in all, Hit good to fair shots and you benefit with a happy score, hit bad shots, well, you\'ll see. Oh and not a tree in sight to snag your ball in flight. It\'s a place you\'ll want to come back to. I Promise you. I\'m a retired senior tour pro and play there all the time, and love it.

Course in great condition, very few areas still under repair. Some parts of fairway a bit tufty and could do with reseeding. Greens nice and quick and very true and consistent throughout.

Good condition considering weather

I'm a 2nd club member at Lydd. Compared to other local courses after the ridiculous amount of rain we've seen over the past months, it is in great condition. Being a flat course at sea level (or just below), flooding can be an issue but there was standing water on two or three holes (that were 'no trolleys' as a result. The greens were heavily sanded, havign been cored recently, and slow as a result. However, I woudl expect this to improve very quickly.

There has been a lot of work carried out around the course over the winter. Renovated bunkers will increase the challenge though these have not yet been completed. Removing trees and bushes in a couple of areas has opened the course out of a few holes.

A Gem of a Golf Course in Kent

The only wrong thing about Lydd is its Proximity but the rest of its Attributes it's Brilliant. This is probably the most challenging Golf Course and at the same time, a rewarding course in Kent. The tees and greens are in great condition and the layout is second to none. When the wind is up it is a monster but all categories of play will be impressed on a bright, calm day. The top Tracker range is a great way to start the day or play a round on great courses of the world on. The house facilities are exceptional, a friendly welcome from the staff is the first thing you get and the food and beverages are very good. Green fee's are sensibly priced week days and weekends. All in all, a great course and exceptional value for money.

Course in great condition although one or two greens are a little bobbly. Water everywhere - in play for 10 holes. Makes it a real test of driving accuracy and reliable range.

This is a very testing course with 11 of the 18 holes involving water hazards of some kind. There is plenty of car parking with a good clubhouse. The course drains quite well and is relatively flat. The greens are in good condition.
