What the club says: There is a natural difficulty in describing how to play any seaside course owing to the changing winds. You should read the suggestions noted on each of the hole pages and perhaps they will be of some help. Although the club is located on the South Coast the course lies on a North-South Axis. It runs out for 9 holes with the prevailing South West wind at your back.

Many professional and amateur golfers have enjoyed playing this course, among them the great Harry Vardon.

Good tee boxes and perfect greens. Great links course on a beautiful day. Plays pretty short but tricky greens and plenty of bunkers to catch you out.

Fantastic experience

Course is magnificent, some of the bunkers are at present fur but the improvements being made are superb. One of the best links courses in the south. Clubhouse was friendly and no stuffiness at all.course was busy but still had a 4 ball round under 4 hours

Fab course, need to play again for 'local knowledge'!

Fab course and a true lynx experience. Greens hard to get used to as very hard and can't stop your ball on them. But nevertheless was brilliant!!!!
Need to play it again as there are a lot of blind shots!!!!

Played here last week and I must admit I’ve a bit confused as to all the rave reviews. It’s a links course, that much I get but I found the holes to be pretty run of the mill. I will admit I’m not a fan of links courses but found that there is much better value for money in playing at say somewhere like Cooden. Greens were very very good but the fairways and rough was all just a bit tatty for my liking. Obviously we couldn’t use the clubhouse so can’t really comment on that, but it does seem like an old fashioned course with silly old fashioned rules (white socks must be worn, and not trainer ones) an out dated pointless club rule especially when you see plenty of players flouting the rule.
The high green fee seems to be there to put everyday golfers of playing there and when there are courses like Sene Valley, Etchinghill, Dale Hill and Kings Hill all within the same distance drive for me And offering a round for almost half the price I’m glad I am priced out of playing here.
I will say a massive positive was the welcome from the pro at Littlestone. Pretty sure his name was James. Really welcoming and an asset to the club. If only more pros were like him.

Delightful links

Think links golf - think Kent! This absolute gem is up there with the best of them - it's beauifully maintained and well laid out. It's challenging, yet playable - though, like a true links, each hole plays differently with a change in the wind. Littlestone comes with a charming clubhouse and shorter 18 (The Warren) if you fancy a warm-up round. Put it on your 'must play' list!

Great Links golf course

On the day I played it was a warm day with a moderate breeze the front nine played well. But the back nine were a greater challenge due to being mainly against the wind.
The fairways were tight and bare in places. But overall course in good condition. Greens were excellent and consistent speed.
