a very challenging round due to the wind, but the course played well, and the greens were good considering the lack of rain, always a challange to play at lydd

Great course
Lovely course well worth a visit, very challenging on a very windy day.Plays completely differnt on a calm day

A links course which is a good test of golf rewarding the accurate golfer and penalising the wayward. Easier if there is no breeze of course. The bunkers are in better condition again as they had deteriorated. I always enjoy playing Lydd.

VG condition for time of year, particulaly the greens
Difficult due to wind, but fair.
Tasty fresh bacon baguette and local beer much appreciated after round

Surprising little gem

Surprisingly good
I was surprised at how challenging the course was, some blind views to the fairways but that made it a good challenge. The greens could have been better but I heard that they had been damaged by birds.Reviewer Rating

Course in not bad condition given the over night rain, greens running well. As always the wind was the hardest part of the course. Character building.

Great and interesting course.
Made very welcome at Lydd.....?22 for round Bacon Bap and lovely cup of Cappuccino.Wind can be a problem, but it makes you think about your shots.

Friendly staff, beautiful open countryside. Very flat course so easy walk. Some tight fairways, lots of water boardering the fairways. Greens in good condition. Played the course twice now and will play again.
