Greens were in really poor condition, not true with left over feed, but the variation of holes is good from about the 5th, but first few holes feel like a council course.

After hearing a few negative comments about the course this year I was really unsure about playing it again but.....I must say it was in fantastic condition and even though some greens had some unsightly areas they played fantastic-the best they've been in a long while. Overall a very enjoyable course which keeps getting better. One minor negative/advise - members be more welcoming -

Very nice golf course of which always wanted to play, we are looking to go again, excellent course well worth the money.

The course has great views over Sheffield, front 9 is easier than the back 9, Enjoyed playing the 11th, tricky par 3

A bit waterlogged in places but on full greens, apart from the 1st which is being worked on with new drainage. At £20 and a 9.30 tee time on a Sunday, good value for money.

At £20 on a Sunday morning with few golfers following you, this represents excellent value. That said the course after a few days of inclement weather after a hot summer was already looking a tad shabby and I would not want to visit in Winter. Thought the greens were slow, the grass needed a trim and worm casts were showing. Would play again but next Summer.

Excellent but hilly cousre course, not for the htose who are unfit. Gets boggy in certain areas when very wet conditions. Clubhouse has just been renovated and is excellent

Not a bad course to play in winter, only 2 temp greens and wasn't too wet. Some very interesting holes. I would play this course again.

Excellent shop friendly and helpful staff. Course in poor condition on temps and mats. Talking to members best time to visit is around there invitation day in June two weeks ether side it is the only time its is worth a visit. Genrally lots better value courses in the area and kept better all year round give it a miss food was cold and slightly overpriced.

1st time at this course and the weather was rainy and windy and followed a week of rain, however there were only 4 temp greens in play. The others played well and the course was challenging with a few signature holes and more than its share of Par 5's to test the high handicapper. Price was £15 on teetimes bit could have had it for £10 if i had just telephoned the club. Nice facilities and will definately come back when the weather is a little better in the spring because with a lot of heavy tree lined holes, the course I'm sure will feel very different.
