I played the course in July last year and I was impressed with all elements of the clubs set up.The course is testing but fair and rewards "straight" play with birdie opportunities to be had.Stunning views around the course.Hospitality first class and have no problems recommending.

Got a deal through deal monster. £34 for a two ball including coffee or tea. Very friendly and hospitable steward. The course is in excellent condition, tees and greens extremely well manicured. The most enjoyable round of golf I've played this season. It was worth the 65 mile drive to play. I cant rate it high enough. This course is going straight into my play again soon diary.

Nice course, well laid out with some tough to read greens. It is fairly hilly, but nothing that should take your breath away too much - apart from the views that is, as the course is set in some very picturesque country side.
No driving range, but they do have a practice area (you hit em, you fetch em) and a couple of nets near 1st tee. Didn't see any buggies for hire tho, so you might want to check should you require one?? If your up in the area, its def a course to try.
The major thing is...
**They don't take debit/credit cards, only cash or cheque**.
I played in may 08, booked it through 'Direct Tee Times' and it cost me £18... Bargain!

A bit underwelmed in all honesty. On arrival I expected a grand clubhouse, however this was not the case (not Whitehaven by any stretch of the imagination). Some good holes - 1st, 3rd, 4th and 17th spring to mind but the majority of par 4's are pretty much 370 yards with little variation. There are some great bunkers and water hazards which provided some decent entertainment! Not too keen on the layout of the course as it seems very crowded and criss-crosses all over the place. The 18th doesnt feel like an 18th should, the 10th gives you that feeling... Felt it a bit innapropriate that are signs at certain points stating "You should have taken no more than 1 hour 20 minutes to reach this point" No wonder it felt like speed golf! Unfortunately, not worth £38.00..
