This club has recently reopened under new owners trying to rebuild a golf club from scratch. I've just paid a TEN POUND GREEN FEE for winter golf so how can you moan. The layout is good with a variety of holes making it a fun round for a first timer, when all the trees are in leaf will be much more tricky. The course suffers from the fairways being in poor condition and the greens are certainly a bit ragged, but hey, it's February and its still winter. The signage isn't great and we got lost a couple of times looking for the next green. But these are all things that I'm sure will be improved in time. The pro shop staff and bar staff (same guy) was very friendly. I shall certainly return to support this club, the owners and staff deserve our support. If you're in Preston give it a go, for all its impurities I think you'll enjoy it.

Played Ingol last week and thought it was in decent condition. The fairways are wide and the grass short, greens look like they'll be there next year. Overall great value for money and I'll look forward to playing it next year.

Lovely lay out of the course but the greens were the worst iv`e played on all summer but to be fair the course has been closed for 3 yrs

Getting better all the time, now has full 18 holes. Some of the greens are still ropey, but fully expect it to be in good nick next year.

Course is decent now, with some final improvements to greens needed and planned soon. Should be back to former glory very soon.

Not to sure about some of the other reviews I have read on here as I have had an excellent day at Ingol golf today, the club professional was very helpful on arrival etc.............. I played this course about a month ago and it is really great to see the progress being made, the fairways are generous and there is a good variety of holes to play and the greens run true. This course is excellent value, it has none of the pomp you get at some of the other courses in the area and the course is a good test for all standards. The memberships and green fees are really good value.............. I played a round of golf today, pint and sausage/egg/bacon barm all for under £15. I will be visiting Ingol again very soon many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

set in mid surburbia it seems, but a good course , lots of trees , and houses nearby for wayward shots, good value for money tho , you'll have to plot your way round here

The course in general is quite good, its just the maintainence that lets it down. To a newcomer the directions to certain holes could be very confusing and paths to other holes are very hard to negotiate.
The off course facilities are very good with friendly staff running the shop and bar.

The course is in need of alot of care. The greens are uneven, have weeds on them and wet. It was difficult to putt. There were rough patches and bare mud patches on the fairways. The yardage on the holes was off by aloyt. One par three advertised as 150 yds from the yellow tee was only 120 yds! Hence a 7-iron flew well over the green. It is a confusing course with shared and crisscrossing fairways, and needing to cross main roads and bridle paths. It was not a plaesant game.

Course very wet and boggy due to bad weather, will be awesome once weather improves and rain stops.... Clubhouse is great and very cheap.
