I wasn't going to review the course but was so impressed by the progress made l felt l had to. I'm a ex Golf pro and have played all over the world, this course is the best value for money I've played, fairways well cut and wide, rough all consistant in height and cut to the edge of the complete hole, bunkers well kept although some need sand, tees well mown with the exception of two which need top dressing and the greens are totally acceptable for a parkland course. I shot 71 and enjoyed it

Has come on a huge amount in last 18 months. Back to looking like a golf course and a busy little golf club. Wide fairways in good condition with excellent lies. Well designed golf course forces you to think about positioning of tee shot on nearly every hole rather than just blasting a driver. Two cracking par 3\'s from back tees on back nine. Pro has indoor teaching area with Trackman.

Have played several times since the course re-opened. Improving every time. Fantastic value, welcoming clubhouse, and a thoroughly enjoyable round of golf. Well done to the team who have wrestled this course out of retirement. Looking forward to playing again.

The golf course is now looking better each time I visit, greens are much more improved, fairways are excellent and tees are very good.
For the price they are selling membership at me and my partner intend to join for 2015.

this is an excellent golf course and the new owners should be commended for making fantastic improvements and getting things back on track ; it's obvious that the course had been neglected but it's definitely getting there now and I would encourage visitors ; for green fees of £7.50, it's brilliant value.
Clubhouse is excellent also, very friendly .... forget some of the other reviews ; this is well worth a visit.

10 of us played on Bank Holdiday Monday 05/05/14 & were treated to a warm & friendly welcome a great round of golf & some good food at a veery reasonable price.
We all thoroughly enjoyed it & as the course work is completed it can only get better.

Good day to all.
Ingol Golf Club has been taken over a company based in Preston,headed up by two brothers, they are former golf professionals having been based Penwortham Golf Club and also latterly owned, the Golf Factory (based in Preston) and then more recently the Lytham Golf Centre (Nevada Bobs) based in Lytham.
Having left the site now in Lytham, I'm extremely pleased to inform you all that every effort will be made to insure a bright and long future for the golf club.
Re branding will be in place and a whole new structure and core values will be implemented to this club.
A modern day golf club with facilities and customer service to match will be brought to Ingol Village, varieties of membership packages will be available and this really will make this facility a must visit for not just local's, but the North West on the whole.
To keep up to date with the progress the club is making and get to know more about the team and strategies the club will implement over the coming weeks/months.

I played this course a few years ago and really enjoyed it. As a single figure golfer it was a really good challenging layout and I would go back again to play. The greens were good and true. The condition was impressive for the price paid.
I hear that it has closed down but will be re-opening again soon when new owners are appointed. I cant wait to go back to play it again.

This course is an excellent and well maintained. The facilities are superb and one to play at only 13.50 a round for guests.

I played the course on Saturday, The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, The pro took time to explain the course is wet and in winter condition, the manager came over to us and explained this as well, he also offer me a free round in August as the course would not present value in this state, they were right we played 9 holes and it was just too wet, we returned to the clubhouse and had a fantastic breakfast and received 2 free golfing vouchers. Anyone who knows about golf will understand when a course is unplayable, the staff here explained this to us but where still kind enough to let us play. I will defiantly play here again and would like to thank the staff at Ingol for a refreshing and friendly attitude, I recommend the course and the club as exceptional value for money and feel saddened that other golfers have been so unkind with some comments.

It was wet but great value for money, we travel to lots of courses and with the food this has to be one of the best offers. Course is in fair condition and there is a walk between some of the holes. Worst hole is the 13th, best hole the 16th. Clubhouse very friendly so will vist again.

Course a little wet but understandable due to the weather we've had, no worse than some of the other local courses I've played.
Greens improved since last time I played, pleasant day out and great value for money. Staff always accommodating and helpful.
Look forward to our next visit.

Hope the owners are successful in creating a great amenity for the local people. We played the course on a groupon voucher with a breakfast and it was a real bargain. The course does need some work to bring it up to standard but it is a very enjoyable test that makes you think. The staff are great and helped to contribute to a great day out. Good luck for the future Ingol!

golf course in reasonable nic for time of year, clubhouse staff all very friendly, food very good and for value for money cant be beaten. we will visit again using the loyalty card we were given but will let the season get well underway so the course will be more fun to play

Interesting layout, challenging but fair is probably the best way to describe it, for the money they're charging you can't knock it, Golf Pro handed me a loyalty card where you can play two rounds and get the third free so will definitely be coming back, at the minute it's about getting about for some fresh air with the guys i play with, looking forward to playing it again through the season.

fair condition for this time of year, played 9 holes twice as the rest were closed, staff all helpful and friendly, pro upgraded me to a sunday lunch for no extra charge so enjoyed that as well, stayed and watched the football with the members who told me to come and play in the summers, I intend to do just that, thanks Ingol GC

Course interesting good lay out and challenging staff friendly got a deal for breakfast and Golf but they gave us the option of a carvery as we played on a Sunday, delicious, great value will visit again

Played 27/6/15, the course is now recovering well after being closed for over 3 years. Most greens are flat and running true, fairways cut short and the rough under control. A good thinking round of golf needs to be played here, don't expect to blast your driver on every hole above a par 3, there isn't the room to be wayward, you'll only complain about how many balls you lost.
Signage could be better to find your way around but that said it's not that difficult to follow .
New sand being added to the bunkers, some of the tee beds could do with some levelling work, but on the hole they are ok.
Club house is very friendly and at £12.50 for a round of golf you can't go wrong or £15 (with a full breakfast or burger n chips).

Played today with my golf society of 24, all enjoyed the course clubhouse and the whole day, a couple of greens have patches and there is evidence of some clover on the fairways which are thought nicely cut and forgiving, the best thing about this club is how they make visitors feel totally welcome right from the moment you walk in, other more established clubs should take note. We will definitely play here again

Me and by three friends decided to give Ingol another go after playing it when it first reopened, i have to say, credit needs to be given here and it's certainly due. You can't compare a course that has reopened from four years laying dormant to some of the dearer more established courses of the area but you can compare what is on offer here, many of these reviews i think seem to forget that it was in a terrible state before reopening.
£15.00 for 18 holes of golf and a meal is a bargain, the course has come on leaps and bounds (although still some way to go).
The service provided was excellent and the club has a nice little buzz around it, if you're after an enjoyable game of golf on a course of not bad condition with great value for money, you could do a lot worse than here.
We will certainly be back and my playing partner has just booked his society here.

Very happy with the work done by the green keepers. A lot needed to be done to get it up to a decent playable standard, and with the exception of 2-3 greens its nearly there.

I am writing to compliment the team at Ingol, special mention for John and Dean who are doing an excellent job. If you want to improve your golf have a series of lessons with Dean in his high tech golf course. Your handicap will improve as will your confidence. If you want excellent food and service see John and his team Ash and Steph, very welcoming and helpful. The food is good value and very tasty. I really like the new layout with the members lounge and am looking forward to the return of the net.
