Nearly Retired

Great Course saves the day
Booked for last day before lockdown and expected it to be busy. However some additional bookings (?) prior to us meant we teed of about 30 minutes late. We were on verge of walking out and asking for refund when it looked like being an even longer wait, and less chance of completing the round before dark.The course itself was in very good condition bearing in mind recent bad weather. Winter teeing mats, Fairways fine (winter rules) and greens a bit bumpy after recent pre-winter work.
Pace of play was poor on first nine but as some bailed out with twilight approaching it speeded up. Completed last hole in semi-dark.
Great value for money but the afore mentioned delays meant that we were somewhat rushed and hence only 4 stars.
Will definitely return.

Nice course
Group in front were very slow and had no intention of picking up the pace. Quite a lot of people think they are better people than they are but ignoring the ignorance of those it's a nice course, good challenges and well maintained.Reviewer Rating

Very good course, whilst nearby Morley Hayes is open, this course requires better course management and straighter shots therefore more of a challenge

The course was in great condition. Very well organised for us to play but expensive at ?35 each for a round. They obviously exploiting visitors after the lockdown was the only disappointment on the day as well as being unable to get in the 19th.

First round of the season. Greens been sanded but ran well saying that, well done to groundskeepers . Can't wait to play again

Excellent challenge
Course was in immaculate condition, greens running true and fairways nice and dry despite recent rainfall. Many stand out holes, including 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17. Plenty of water hazards around to catch you out. Risk and reward options to consider, proper course management required. Nice food served post round. Driving range and putting green in very good condition for pre-round warm up. Excellent value for money on society deal.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 103 Handicap: 20 )

Considerably improved
The course has improved from its early season conditioning and the members are happy with the work being done by the hardworking ground staff. The greens are moving back to their excellent conditioning and the fairways have much more definition as the weather had improved enough to allow more cutting. Lots of good communication (and hard work) from the greens staff to the membership.Definitely back on track following a disappointing visit early in the year. Would definitely benefit from improved practice range facilities as they are now looking tired and do not compare favourably with others close by.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 18.5)

Very Good course really enjoyed playing and I would come again. hard to book in a tee off time though(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 96 Handicap: 21.6)
