Great Course
The course is in a wonderful condition. Greens slow but true. Course lay out a good golf challenge - certainly not boring. Welldone Mr Greenkeeper(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 17.6)

Best course in midlands

EXCELLENT DAY AT HORSLEY
Took 22 to Horsley, excellent day, well looked after by all the staff, my only small gripe was the greens were a little fluffy, however the greens are\" all year\" greens. we will be back.thanks for looking after us.Reviewer Rating

Nice friendly welcome. Excellent course always a pleasure to play though on this occasion the greens had just been hollow tined so did not run as true as they normally do.Will be back later in the year.

I've only been playing a few months and this is the best course I've played as yet. Great setting with some fantastic holes. All the way round there are different challenges. Would well recommend.

fantastic course
This is a beautiful course! great variety of holes and great quality of course. The greens were being cored and prepared and there were some temporary tee boxes in operation, but this did not take away from the enjoyment of this cracking course.Reviewer Rating

Great Course saves the day
Booked for last day before lockdown and expected it to be busy. However some additional bookings (?) prior to us meant we teed of about 30 minutes late. We were on verge of walking out and asking for refund when it looked like being an even longer wait, and less chance of completing the round before dark.The course itself was in very good condition bearing in mind recent bad weather. Winter teeing mats, Fairways fine (winter rules) and greens a bit bumpy after recent pre-winter work.
Pace of play was poor on first nine but as some bailed out with twilight approaching it speeded up. Completed last hole in semi-dark.
Great value for money but the afore mentioned delays meant that we were somewhat rushed and hence only 4 stars.
Will definitely return.

Disappointing
Had read good reviews however the greens were in terrible condition. Last of bare patches, was like putting on a ploughed field. Would not drive past such as Morley Hayes or Breadsall Priory to play here again, until the greens are sorted. The layout is great, pace of play, practice facilities, etc all great, but terrible greens at the moment. And quite a bit of construction ongoing around the course.(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 15.9)

awesome course

Course back to it’s BEST
A real great test of golfGreens firm and true and hold a ball well
The recent rain didn’t dampen our mood and we had the best day out in ages
Really great place for golf and lunch was good food and tasty
Beer was a bit dear at £4 for a pint of st migel
Travelled from waterfront pub Mansfield

Great as ever
