Top class course, very enjoyable. Most of the course was in good shape but the greens were not great. Probably due to the time of year but lots of bobbles and not running true. Didn't spoil enjoying a good round

Course was in good condition not too wet and we took up the offer of a winter warmer green fee. Some interesting holes and a real tester for distance is the 17th green to hit in two. Will be back to play again next year.

Nice to be back at the lodge, finally some greens that are worth playing on. Great score, would rather not having to use that piece of turf . But understand to thinking behind it.

Nice course but greens were far too tough to put on all flags had been put on the slopiest parts of the greens never had so many 3!! To tough for the average golfer in my opinion.

Played in the (very) wet but was a nice looking course with some pretty holes. A country house course laid out for guests to have something not too taxing I think.

Slight little touches missing, such as Tee Boxes with information, but overall a really nice course, greens are some of the best in Derbyshire, if not the best.

Lovely golf course with some of the best greens i have played this summer. very quick. good value in the week but gose up at the weekend to become expensive. Hills come into play a bit with a few blind shots to play so a course guide is worth buying. not so great in the hotel there, poor service let them down as it really looks the part, good view of the par 3 ninth from the bar.

The course was in reasonable condition considering the amount of rain we have had lately.
Best to carry your clubs in the winter as the greens are roped off from about 50 yards out.
One downside was the pace of play, took over 4 hours to play 17, had to miss 18th out and we were a 2 ball.
