Course in good condition. Greens fast but after recent rain balls chipped onto the green would hold up nicely. First cut of rough a little long but ok, make sure you do not go offline into the longer stuff though. Fairways running nicely. Layout always nice to play and clubhouse and pro shop very friendly. Value for money really good.

Faultless
The staff & facilities at The Belfy are excellent nothing is to much trouble for them.Whatever time of the year you go the all 3 courses are in fantastic condition, the ground staff do a excellent job.

Excellent course conditions, would recommend anyone to play there. We would have had food but they stopped serving at 4pm and we finished playing at 4.45pm. Excellent facilities and helpful staff.

Great course
Very good course, highly recommend playing. The day I played it was very windy so looking to go there again on a calmer day very soon.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 90 Handicap: 16.5)

Great Course worth a Visit
A super course in excellent condition. Quite a long course with only 3 par 3's one of which was over 200 yards. Long par 5's and lengthy 4's. A good test for both average and the experienced golfer , with a few holes with blind tee shots to test your accuracy. Plenty of bunkers , ponds and long grass to catch the wayward shot. Friendly Pro and other staff made you very welcome. Highly Recommended.Reviewer Rating

What a cracking course... If a little muddy...
We had our tee booked for 110:04am and as usual turned up way too early. I stuck my face into the pro Shop mentioned my name and the Pro immediately knew what I had booked. For me this was a bit plus, as too many courses do not take the time to make themselves aware of who is playing when and wait till last minute...
A coffee later and the final member of our 4 ball turned up and we hit the First Tee... That is once we plowed through the mud, which didn't bode well for the rest of the course. But, that being said, given the time of year, it's just one of those things you have to accept.
The course (apart from the muddy bits) was in good condition, you could see it's a new course by the fresh drainage ditches plus a few other tells, which one of the 4 ball was pointing out, him being a greenkeeper at a very old and large course was very knowledgable. Me, I loved it, plenty of length, and some really nice tight short holes.

After the previous few days of heavy rain, our expections were that we would be splashing around but we were very pleased to note that there was hardly any water on the course at all and the greens were in excellent condition. All staff we met on the course, the pro shop and bar were extremely friendly. Would recommend to anybody

Greens consistent - fairways tight but rough light on the whole and fairly open for recovery shots.

A cracking course. Very well laid out, greens in superb condition although I can imagine some members not being too chuffed about the shabbiness just off the fairway, but the rough is the rough. A lot of care has been taken however, to plant lots of ornamental bushes and flowers around the course which make it look very pretty indeed. Met quite a few members who were very friendly and welcoming too. It still gets 'excellent' ticked in all boxes even though we were stuck behind 4 seniors in 2 buggies faffing about all the way round refusing to let us through.

The course is playing really well, always a fairly dry course, well draining. The fairways are in excellent condition with nicely graded rough in place for the course championship narrowing the normally wide course. Greens as always are running very fast, in superb condition. The course is coming into its summer bounce, where firm sub strata and light moss covering give the ball a real kick from some of the higher shots. DX soft and So/los always help. The course is barely recognizable from 2 years ago with some rapidly maturing trees adding some extra difficulty in summer. Great course.

Originally a JamesBraid design, it has retained many of the 1907 features. Great grass on fairways and fabulous greens. Six par threes, 6 fours and 5 par fives……a real challenge. Good food and beer, what more can one ask.
