Great layout
A fantastically laid out course, uses the contours brilliantly, just a shame it needs a bit of TLC.It's a fantastic walk, with quite a few challenging hills, great views across Manchester & beautifully framed with Rhododendrons at this time of year.
It just needs a bit of care, I know they can't help kids going on the course on motorbikes, but looking past that there are some scruffy places & the greens aren't the best.
This layout, in great condition, would challenge most of the great parkland golf courses that I've played.
It's definitely worth a visit.

A Walk n a Half
Really enjoyedI haven’t played on a hilly course for a while, but this course made up for that.
Plenty of blind shot holes, shots from uphill/downhill/side hill lies, great variation..
Tee boxes, bunkers not in great condition, greens a bit slow, but time of year n rain, contributed to that.
Fairways were ok..
Very picturesque, a great walk (not easy), I’m not the longest of hitters, but I’m sure lower handicappers, would find easier.
For £12.50, great value.
Staff friendly n helpful..
Well worth playing ????

Hidden gem of a course
Very well hidden but well worth playing, the course was in good condition and is well laid out, some very challenging holes, and as a 2 ball got round in just over 4 hours, very hilly so would recommend you use an electric trolly or a buggy, love and will be playing again soon.Reviewer Rating

First game for a couple of months after injury. Very hilly course that had drained well with only a couple of puddles and not boggy - trolley was ok to pull. Greens fast despite all the rain, only problem was rows/clumps of mown grass just off the fairway that posed a problem if you missed the fairway. Catering basic but fine , friendly atmosphere with people welcoming. A good trip out.
