Excellent courses
Both the Hawkstone and Championship courses are fantastic courses with some really good but difficult holes. I will certainly play the courses again. As a middle handicapper the courses are certainly very fair. A must visit. The hotel and Lyle bar are also excellent.Reviewer Rating

Holiday 2020
Weather was waterproofs all game then biblical rain for one hole then sun shone , course held up very well , the speed of the greens was quicker then we expected , scenery was brilliant especially looking up to the follies as the sun came out , we be back again(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 79 Handicap: 9.7)

Fantastic course
1st round since lockdown. Course was immaculate. Fairways and greens were in tip top condition. Always friendly staff.(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 99 Handicap: 26.7)

great condition
Open qualifying venue, set on the edge of a picturesque stately home.Fabulously designed parkland facility. Err from the straight and narrow at your peril or become very good at awkward recovery shots under branches. Greens excellent and true. Benefitted from recent rain after weeks of sunshine. Clubhouse closed due to virus but they are superb.Reviewer Rating

Quite tight, accuracy over distance needed.Friendly, helpful staff.
Some nice scenery on he round.
Hotel was well maintained too.

2 Great courses, currently upgrading hotel and building new clubhouse. Only drawback no decent night out nearby. Don't bother with Wem.
