Not quite up to scratch
This will be a great course when all the bunker building and irrigation is completed. Everyone was very friendly and we had great views of the deer. Unfortunately it's very expensive for the current condition. I would give it a year and then I think it will be fantastic.Reviewer Rating

Pretty good nick
Nice course be straight or you will struggle ie the rough is brutal, club house is nice staff friendly if I had a gripe it would be if your a big society or group toilet space is limited, and no pro shop, lovely surroundings-bunkers need soughting,we where told there going to address them during the winter.Reviewer Rating

Steadily improving
Getting better with every visit. It's interesting to see what can be done with some investment in a course, and there appears to be more to come. I understand further fairway irrigation will be installed this winter and a bunker renovation undertaken too. In the meantime, the fairways are thicker and grassier than I've seen them here, not quite there yet but on the mend for sure. And the greens have improved too. Again, they can still get better but now in a good place and rolling nicely. Look forward to returning again and seeing the evolution of this course local to me.Reviewer Rating

Interesting course, friendly members but slow
The course is interesting, good layout and in fair condition. Friendly and welcoming members. Unfortunately the pace of play is slow. Policy is for four balls only, and the even though I played on a Thursday, the course was full, and the pace was around 4.5 hours. Worth playing if you have the time. Also, overpriced for what it is, but probably due to proximity to the centre of London.Reviewer Rating

Good but could perhaps be so much better
Some interesting holes, good quality grass driving range, nice clubhouse and lots of wildlife with herds of deer roaming freely. I've played here a few times now, always in the summer and a number of the fairways get baked out, so you can get some crappy lies. I often think it feels a bit linksy and despite the fairways I've always enjoyed playing here. Some holes have more grass and better fairways, and from what I gather it drys out pretty quickly in winter. Now that Crown Golf have sold it to a charitable organisation (who's aim is to get more people playing golf) it will be interesting to see what investment goes into the course, especially as the prices have been slashed. I'm not complaining about ?14 for a twilight round midweek, which is excellent value here but is it sustainable? Time will tell no doubt. I noticed too that they're now offering under 18 membership for free, and unlimited golf too - that's awesome for juniors.Reviewer Rating

Open but challenging
I played this course for the first time on the 23rd June with three others. As COVID restrictions were in place no facilities were open. The course was in good condition with very true and flat greens. Although the course looked very open I found myself in trouble a couple of times off the tee, accuracy with the driver is needed. When I strayed off the tee I was still able to find the ball in most cases but the rough was tough to play out of. Good challenge and would like to play again.Reviewer Rating

Shame about the bunkers
Nice enough course. Just need to keep it straight. As soon as you are off the fairway , the lumps and bumps, though quite small, make it difficult to track. Greens quite spongy, in fact the day b4 4 greens were temps. Would play again if in the area as par 4's are reasonably long for the average golfer. Oh and then there are the bunkers....more like traps for the deer to enjoy themselves in. Very lumpy and bumpy. Go together with the fairways.Reviewer Rating

Course in good condition, especially the greens. Rough high but that's expected otherwise would be a tad dull.(Round played: Jun 2018 - Score: 87 Handicap: 20.5)
