What The Club Says
Many may be aware of the palace at Hampton Court but not necessarily its golf course. Within the grounds at Home Park, it offers a truly unique opportunity to play a traditional parkland course at one of the country’s most famous royal parks.
As golfers of ability, the new owners take great pride in the presentation of their courses. At 6,500 yards, the par 71 design meanders through hundreds of mature trees in a naturally free draining location.

Sad times
This was a hidden gem - tucked away in a beautiful Royal park - and a joy to play. Formerly a private club, it is now a pay and play course and it desperately needs some love, care and attention. The greens are almost all damaged and have been poorly repaired - often with sand poured into holes rather than turf or seed. The tee boxes are uneven and decaying and the bunkers are collapsing on themselves. The rough is regularly cut back so there is no definition to the course. Apart from on a few holes where the local fauna create natural hazards from nests and rabbit warrens, you can blast the ball with impunity and face no penalty or inconvenience. Make no mistake this was a lovely golf course. It's now a very poor golf course in a lovely setting. There are much better courses to play locally. One hole was completely shut with a temp green. £40 is not good value in its current conditionReviewer Rating

I think a bit more needs to be done to protect and manage the upkeep of the greens.

Shocking
Probably the worse condition of any golf course I have ever played in 25 years. Truly shocking.Reviewer Rating

Scenic course
Scenic course with deer on a few holes and occasional views of the Palace. Rounds can be slow because they pair up but we got around in about 4 hours and so not too bad. Fairways bear as most are but greens very good. Not much variety in the holes but worth playing if not played before.Reviewer Rating

When Get Golfing took over they said they were going to install irrigation to all of the fairways (they have installed holes 1 and 18 so far in 5/6 years). So....the grass on all of the fairways is scorched and burnt.Get Golfing have done so little to improve this golf course. It seems a lot of effort is put into events and the clubhouse...but sadly not the golf course.

A wildlife experience
Saw plenty of geese, rabbits, crows but it’s the hundreds of deer that make the course memorable. The greens are in excellent nick if slower than expected but that’s about it. A few trees, bunkers but otherwise a flat park course in a lovely setting. Prefer a course with greater variety of holes TBH but very glad to have played here once & definitely worth a trip. They also had no beer on tap & we cut our losses & found a pub instead.

Terrible condition
The course was in terrible condition. The greens were incredibly slow, some had very big patches. There were large portions of the fairways with no grass. Potholes on fairways. Very slow pace of play, waiting on every hole. The course itself is interesting and would be a good place to play if it was maintained to even a half decent standard. Lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery, you really forget you are in London. Cost £65 for the round but felt like a very poorly maintained municipal course. Certainly the worst value I’ve ever had from a green fee.Reviewer Rating

It is an interesting course with some challenges but spoilt by the poor state of greens and fairways.Very dry patches on the greens in places and several pot holes on the fairways causd by wildlife. Can't be hepled in some ways but not wonderful. Plenty of parking and a nice club house retaurant and very helpful staff
