Great course and lovely location, rough it very tough if you can find your ball. Resembles a lot of characteristics of a links course

This course has much improved in recent years and now provides a really enjoyable round of golf in a beautiful parkland setting

I played this course for the first time as we got a deal through Amazon for £66 for a fourball. Plot your way round to a decent score, as the rough is extremely harsh. The greens are good and the deer roaming around are wonderful. I would definately return but not for the standard weekend green fee of £55

I just joined the club and find the reviews to be quite harsh. I have played golf for 30 years and my handicap has in the past been single figures, so I think I have seen enough courses to judge. The course is not up and down. If played from the white tees and depending on the wind some par 4s are very difficult to reach in two shots (I drive 250 to 275). There is a marked difference between the front and back nice. The front is more park land, and a couple of short par 4s. The back 9 is very similar to a links course. Being a member of a links course in the past I find this a pleasure so close to London. True the fairways are not good. This is because the course is not allowed irrigation systems on the fairways (rules from the Palace). The greens are OK but after a long weekend the holes do suffer and need to be re cut. The staff are really nice, and the club house has fantastic food (French chef).

Lovely clubhouse and practice facilities. Course in good condition but fairways/few greens in poor state. The rough is suitably painful but if you hit straight (which I didnt) then not too many troubles. Lovely setting with the deer, etc and a very enjoyable place for a round.
