place is full of people who have no golf etiquette,tees are poor, fairway is full of divots and no green is the same pace.bunkers have no sand in them or are filled with "unusual" sand.greens are pockmarked with pitch marks.having said all that the course has a an absolutely marvellous setting.the local wigan council's leisure trust runs the course and the man in charge must have been off work at least two years.tremendous setting, badly let down by poor maintenance,i too took advantage of the twilight time to be met on the first tee by no less then eight players.i booked 4.08 pm.when I asked what time they where they all replied in front of you,4pm.

Windy and hilly course not in good nick because of the weather, greens were all different speeds impossible to judge them.

Nice course, twilight for £10 after 4pm. Booked the first 4pm tee, to get there and find 3 hackers already walking off, and another 2 ready to go off in front of us, both groups had just paid £10 in the shop. Guy at the till clearly didn't ask if they had booked, yet still let them out - why bother booking?
Have to agree with previous about the greens. Ball sounds like its landing on a cardboard box, and seemed to roll off nearly every time - let down a good day.

First time I\'ve played here in a very long time. The course lay out is much improved also the fairways are in good condition. But the first 12 green are a disappointment. At £15 for a mid-week round a touch on the dear side. (Round played 31/5/13 score 98 handicap short arms)

Greens still need work. nice course to play when dry. A club house for golfers would be nice, but with the course being council owned this will not happen.

Course not to bad condition considering the rain we have had and for only £8 for twighlight represents good value for money

Nice layout, poor greens, still very wet considering the dry spell we've had. Ok if you cant get a round somewhere else.
