Greens and tees are in abysmal condition. I know there has been a hot summer but it seems like the greens keeping staff have given up. We we in no way informed about how shoddy the course was. Other public courses in the area are still in good condition despite the weather. Do not waste your money!!

Awful it's a shame the way they look after this course. on Friday when we played 07/04/17 fairways damp you have to clean your ball after every shot. Greens rough Just Awful. Steve Turner

I have seen other reviews on here with comments like"what do you want for a fiver". If you are a golfer who enjoys playing on mud, having bunkers with no sand in, greens with no grass on, and fairways barely distinguishable from rough, then this indeed is the course for you. What I want is a golf course, not an excuse for one. This course is a disgrace, and if the keepers cannot keep it in any form of order during winter, do not open it. Club house was closed, car park was a building site, this was a complete waste of time - and it wasn't a fiver either. Must be one of the worst 'golf courses' in the North West, if not England. I won't be going back any time ever, and if you prefer golf to orienteering, cross country running or tough muddling, I would suggest you don't either. Horrendous.

Worst golf course I have ever played on. The £18 fees would have been better spent on a new box of balls to play with somewhere else!! Greens, tees and fairways are awful!

Nice and cheap for an afternoon booking

Nice and cheap for an afternoon Tee time however 1st cut has not been gathered when cut so if rolling off fairways high likelihood of lost balls. Greens are very dry and solid making it harder to hold the greens.

Not great

Given the dry weather the course has suffered. Greens and tees very burnt and really inconsistent

Played a few weeks ago before weather took a turn for the worse on the 9 hole course. Long walk from 1st to 2nd hole and not really sign posted at all. Greens were in fairly poor condition and not well maintained. Course itself was fairly straight forward and no one else on so play was pretty quick. Okay for a fiver, just not the best

We went on a weekend that had had a lot of rain the week before, the course was in a really bad state, the bunkers were flooded, the greens were poor, the fairways were soaked and we lost balls we should not have lost due to plugging.

This is the first time i've played here in about three years and the course has really taken a turn for the worse. Course in poor shape for this time of year. Greens disappointing, course rough round the edges, no sand in half of bunkers. Pro shop used to be one of best in NW, even that's dropped in quality. Won't be coming back any time soon!
