The course has obviously had a lot of work done on it with areas that were previously (very) rough now being cut back and allowing wayward shots to be found and played. The layout of the course has also been swapped round since we last played which was slightly confusing for some of our group who wandered off and teed up on the wrong tee box.
Despite the heavy rain on the day we enjoyed the game and are playing there again this week. My brother is even considering membership of the course.

Very nice course
Played on a Tuesday morning, the course was quiet. It is well maintained and the greens were firm and fast after recent dry weather. Although the course is pretty flat there is a bit of a walk between two or three holes. The layout has changed so my Apple watch and my playing partners Garmin lost track on the 15th. Very friendly staff and members. We?ll worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

basic but pleasant

Great value and very peaceful.

Greens getting better
New green keeper at Great Lever and Farnworth and what a change he as made the course is looking fantastic and at £10 a round and cheap membership i think it will be full all next year(Round played: Oct 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 12.4)

Windy day and greens were really bobbly the course as been changed slightly for what reason I don't know really need to tend the greens and Tee boxes although at £10 good value compared to some(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 90 Handicap: 10.9)

fluffy greens
this course could be so much better with a large investment of cash and a little re jigging. The greens today were very fluffy and very slow, green keepers were out trimming the rest of the course that was in quite good nick. Tee boxes really need some attention(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: 10.6)
