What The Club Says
Situated 2 miles from Bolton and 1.5 miles from the M61 (Junction 5) Deane Golf Club is easily accessible. The Parkland course is interesting and varied, it undulates agreeingly and the natural features, streams and tree lined fairways make it a true test of golf with four of the eighteen holes being played over a testing ravine. The course measures 5677 yards, par 68 for men and 5159 yards par 70 for women.

poor condition
Greens had been treated but not rolled, and were the worst I've ever played on with large clumps of sand/ small stones all over the green, which had also been hollow tined. Layout very confusing and not logical in some parts. We got lost a few times. Temp tees, numerous bare areas near greens etc not good after the decent weather recently. Card was wrong on a couple of occasions, and my course sat nav was pretty useless, and way off. I'm sure it's a nice course in the summer, and a decent layout, but get the corrections done on the card, and put some signposts or notices up please to help visitors. Clubhouse very good, and members very friendly, but the ones we spoke to were equally frustrated with the course.Reviewer Rating

Great Track
Short course but has some tricky holes. In fantastic condition I played it mid May after a lot of rain and it was excellent value for money. Only thing to complain about was it was very poorly marked from tee to tee .. needed a passing green keeper to redirect me more than once.Reviewer Rating

A very enjoyable game
What a surprise, not played the course before ,but it was in great nik, green keepers out and about/very friendly taking care of the greens/bunkers.loads of interesting holes, with testings par 3s,not a long course, but you need to use your loaf with your course management ,ruff is severe, so driver not always needed.lost a couple today.signage not the best, and more sand required in some of the bunkers.but its must play in my opinion ,you wont be disappointedReviewer Rating
