Awaited my playing partners to arrive and then we went into the clubhouse and had coffees. Spoke to the pro in the shop, got my chipper regripped and headed for the first.
My playing partners played well but on many holes, I think they would agree, could and should have played better. I think they both would when they go back.
The Tee's were excellent, no slopes to write about and had consistent quality on them all.
The fairways were nicely cut but the rough was rough. We were warned about this before hand. Luckily I had printed off a strokesaver from the internet, which had some useful tips from the pro for where to aim your shots. Handy especially as they didn't sell any in the shop.
The greens were rather impressive. A lot of them had slopes, which made them challenging. The speeds varied but the conditions of them were extremely good.
The only down side was the state of the bunkers. Lumpy sand and not much of it. But that's what bunkers are for really, so can't complain. I found a couple and got out of them.
My golf was not good enough for this course. My playing partners had some very good results. Wayne especially hit some very straight drives, which aided his better round score. Mark hit some very long drives that at times, were impressive to watch.
I plodded around and didn't put much good golf together. On one par 5, I did but couldn't keep it going.
Over all, it was nice to watch some good shots played by the two of them. I feel they may well have marked a better card if I hadn't been with them.
Thanx though Mark & Wayne for an enjoyable round.
Was it worth £30? Yes
Would I play it again? Yes

Would also agree that it would be helpful for scorcards to include layout of holes and yardages, although the website course guide is very impressive, and one of our group took the time to print out the hole info, which was very helpful on a few blind holes.
Overall the course was in great condition
