Nice course worth playing
Second time playing Grange Park GC. One of their open events, well organised. Friendly welcome in the clubhouse, nice restaurant upstairs. Small pro shop. Decent practice facilities. Course in reasonable condition, tee boxes a bit scruffy. Greens mint, rolled well, some a little tricky to read. Course layout spot on, good mixture of holes, some doglegs and hazards to negotiate. Longish par 3s. Fairly flat, some longish walks between holes. Course well worth playing for sure.Reviewer Rating

The course unwinds in such a way you lose sense of where you are and don't feel as if it's boring quite the opposite.
Strategic bunkering and hazards set the standard, on many holes your better taking an iron, certainly not a place to smash a driver in gay abandonment you would lose too many balls.
Condition of the course was brilliant and the greens were true and quite fast, if it was the middle of summer they would be lighteningly quick and prove to cause many a trembling knee on a putt over 4ft

Bunkers were not on the same level as the course, but then you don't want to be playing out from them anyway, some good elevated tees and greens needed a bit thought to play from/to.
One bad criticism is no strokesaver, you do need them for this course or play it once to familiarise yourself, worse courses than this have them I would have expected better.
£30 a round in the week and only £35 at weekend, sadly they don't take 2Fore1 but the fee is worth paying.
I recommend this course highly and will return again & again.
Clubhouse is small but very welcoming and although I didn't eat this time I did see some of the food on offer and it looked very appertising.

Awaited my playing partners to arrive and then we went into the clubhouse and had coffees. Spoke to the pro in the shop, got my chipper regripped and headed for the first.
My playing partners played well but on many holes, I think they would agree, could and should have played better. I think they both would when they go back.
The Tee's were excellent, no slopes to write about and had consistent quality on them all.
The fairways were nicely cut but the rough was rough. We were warned about this before hand. Luckily I had printed off a strokesaver from the internet, which had some useful tips from the pro for where to aim your shots. Handy especially as they didn't sell any in the shop.
The greens were rather impressive. A lot of them had slopes, which made them challenging. The speeds varied but the conditions of them were extremely good.
The only down side was the state of the bunkers. Lumpy sand and not much of it. But that's what bunkers are for really, so can't complain. I found a couple and got out of them.
My golf was not good enough for this course. My playing partners had some very good results. Wayne especially hit some very straight drives, which aided his better round score. Mark hit some very long drives that at times, were impressive to watch.
I plodded around and didn't put much good golf together. On one par 5, I did but couldn't keep it going.
Over all, it was nice to watch some good shots played by the two of them. I feel they may well have marked a better card if I hadn't been with them.
Thanx though Mark & Wayne for an enjoyable round.
Was it worth £30? Yes
Would I play it again? Yes

Great course worth playing
First time playing Grange Park GC in one of their open events. Friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse. Good practice facilities. Course in great condition, greens mint. A few inclines to negotiate but nothing to taxing. Need to plot your way around a bit a couple of dog legs and blind holes which adds to the enjoyment. Defo worth playing, I'll be returning so sure.Reviewer Rating
