Good open parkland course. The greens were a bit bare in places but should improve over the next few weeks with a bit of rain/water, the fairways were in good condition

Played on a sunny sat, so consequently the round was very slow. We had to wait behind a 4 ball on every hole. This is a testing course, quite long with strategically placed bunkers. The rough could do with a cut as it's difficult to find the ball. Nice to see most bunkers raked properly.

Played The Goodwood Park Course Sunday 27th April for a change of scenery from my membership at Chichester Golf Club (Cathedral Course) . As a direct comparison I would have to say I a little disappointed with the course layout and challenge due to many similar adjacent holes but on the positive the condition of the fairways were excellent and the greens comparable with the Chichester Cathedral course. The young lady on reception was very polite and helpful though the non existent pro shop was very disappointing. I booked my round through TeeOffTimes thus I would sum up the afternoon as good value though a full price green fee could be questionable.

A very lovely clubhouse, the course was not what i expected, very nice, but not in the weather proof superb condition of competitors such as the grove or queenwood or remedy oak.

We played the Downs course. It wasn't in great condition especially the tee boxes and the fairways and there were no holes that really stood out. A decent parkland/downs course, but nothing special.

After reading a few of these reveiws I went and played at the goodwood park course, reception staff were very friendly, the only thing I would say is the course is such a boring course very flat and not very challenging it does seem as tho you are playing the same hole over and over. Well maintained tho and course drains well so no swamp like mud.

I played the park course twice over a couple of days. It was a good test of golf, the first cut of rough was reasonably heavy however this was nothing in comparison to the heavy rough which was a foot deep and often resulted in a long search which was not always successful. Very consistent and pretty quick greens which I enjoyed. I think if you play well on this course you will come off liking it, however if you are wayward (particularly) off the tee, you will think that it is a little bit harsh.

This course used to be the Marriott golf course, but is now part of the Goodwood estate - this can only be a good thing! Golfers get to use the facilities at The Kennels Clubhouse, top 5* quality facilities, changing rooms, bar, proshop, etc - worth going just for that! The course is good, they've in fact changed it around so the 1st is close to the new clubhouse. Well kept, fairly open at first but then gets harder. I'm sure the quality of the main Downs Course at Goodwood will spread over to this one... one to watch!
