What the club says: The Goodwood Park layout was designed in 1987 by renowned golf architect Donald Steele and lies within the parkland surrounding Goodwood House. Indeed the 6,650 par 72 course has been carefully designed to blend in with the splendid surroundings of the Estate.
The Downs Course was laid out in 1914 by legendary golf architect, designer of Gleneagles and Carnoustie and five times winner of the Masters Championship, James Braid, The Downs Course features tricky doglegs and long sweeping greens which are both a treat and a challenge to true golf fans. The Downs was cleverly renovated in 2006 to retain the essential character of Braid’s concept while providing a challenge for the modern game for both amateurs and professionals alike.

Most Helpful Review

I played the Park course yesterday at Goodwood. You can immediately see when you enter the grounds that they take great pride in the facilities and course. The weather has been terrible but trollies were still allowed on the course and the course was in great condition considering how wet it was. We played 18 holes after 12pm and it was £22. Great value for money for the quality of this course. The facilities are amazing with very well kept changing rooms and pro-shop. The course itself is a long course but has a great variety of par 3,4 and 5's and they are challenging but not impossible. Greens were in excellent condition consuidering the amount of rain this weekend and i am looking forward to trying The Downs Course next time. - Nov 9 2015

A beautiful setting
A really lovely course, you have to think your way around. Some lovely views from the top of the hill. My only negative would be the long walks between a few of the holes. I would definitely play there again given th3 chance.

Great Course
I played the Downs on the 20th. We were the 1st 3 ball out at 8am and were treated to a magnificient experience. After the recent rains and sunshine the fairways and greens were in immaculate condition.
