I expect and enjoy a good challenge on this course but, as an average Joe 22-handicapper some elements are too challenging. The pond/hazard in the middle of the fairway on the par 5 eighth may not pose a question for big hitters but it means I either have to lay up very short or hit and hope! The pin position on Cardiac Hill's par 3 today was ridiculous. The green was shaved and the hole on a slope. A putt from 10 feet below the hole stopped an inch short from dropping, then rolled back past me towards the front of the green. Either place the holes on the flat or raise the height of the cut. Other than that I loved it.

Considering it is November the greens were very good. If you like exercise you will love this course and there are some great driving holes. Could do with more direction signs. Loved the elevated tees and great views over the countryside - take a few moments to enjoy them.

Nice course, the 18th tee shot is almost worth the green fee alone - you get to tee off miles above the green which makes it look like you drive the ball a lot further than you actually do!

fabulous

Everything about this course was great. Only thing was that we booked in front of a big group and were concerned that they might overrun us. When we played they didn't show up. So we were not followed at all. Range and practice putting green were excellent.

The course is great condition except for the bunkers which need a lot of work done on them. The changes they have done to the course are starting to work well

Great day had. Lovely course. Challenging but fair

Was invited here to play in a Rugby for Heroes charity event. Back 9 is VERY steep uphill until the 18th which spectacularly falls back down a steep hill. Beautiful views of Gloucester and course was in great condition. Also I shot 2 under my handicap which is the first time I've done that this year.
