Links style Seaside course
Frinton golf course right next to the coast in North Essex is a great place to play for golfers of any standard. The layouts defences are the long rough in the summer and the sea breezes which are frequent and ever changing. The clubhouse is welcoming and serves great food and the Pro shop is well stocked. I would definitely recommend especially if you wanted to make a day of it with a round of golf and a day at the seaside.Reviewer Rating

Nice course
Typical tough links course. Fairway on 7 was like a ploughed field and would have appreciated a warning from the pro shop before hand. Other than that it was enjoyable(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 102 Handicap: 18.1)

Great course, with problems
Unfortunately it was frosty on the day so we had temp greens (or holes in the fairway). However, they have a pretty major issue with about four of their fairways due to incorrectly mixed clover killer being used. This has completely ruined these fairways and they'll be a long time getting them back to decent condition. That said this is an historic layout and a great challenge for all levels. The clubhouse staff and very friendly and welcoming. (And very apologetic for the state of their course)
I hope they overcome the fairway issue because this is a great course.

Frinton
Played New Years eve, well drained as had a lot of rain, greens good as ever but it looked like they had trouble with the fairways getting burnt in the summer as all the high spots did not have grass but probably be in hand for the spring. Friendly as ever with good facilaties and had the men's changing area refurbished which is really good.(Round played: Dec 2017 - Score: 79 Handicap: 5.1)

Greens are excellent
An open links course which belies the obstacles around the course, with pockets of rough, ditches etc. to keep things interesting.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 110 Handicap: 24.8)
