Great course, with problems
Unfortunately it was frosty on the day so we had temp greens (or holes in the fairway). However, they have a pretty major issue with about four of their fairways due to incorrectly mixed clover killer being used. This has completely ruined these fairways and they'll be a long time getting them back to decent condition.That said this is an historic layout and a great challenge for all levels. The clubhouse staff and very friendly and welcoming. (And very apologetic for the state of their course)
I hope they overcome the fairway issue because this is a great course.

Very good course with some fantastic, good looking holes. Greens are excellent, true and fast. Pro shop the friendliest I have ever visited. Didn't eat but a beer on the terrace was excellent. A really good day of golf, would highly recommend it.

Played on Wednesday, Course is wonderful, real class, not a blade of grass out of place, I am sure that the winter water damage on some fairways will be sorted soon by the greenstaff who seem to be doing an excelent job. Greens and tees are very good. Club house is comfertable with good food and hot showers. Wonderful day Thank you.

very classy and well established links course. relatively short with plenty of OOB and drainage ditches to content with

Enjoyed the course very much, played off the white tees which added interest on many holes. Good condition, good layout. Club house a bit "church hall", which is a pity as it could be excellent with a bit of a tasteful refit.

If you want class this club has got it all, the club house is 1930s art decor and very comfortable, service is good as is the food albit expensive. the course is different to all other Essex courses, it is flat and devoide of trees, so when the wind blows, look out, Tees, Fairways are good and the greens are very quick with lots of underlations but very true. this course was on my last visit imaculate with not a blade of grass out of place. We look forward to our next visit.

Links style Seaside course
Frinton golf course right next to the coast in North Essex is a great place to play for golfers of any standard. The layouts defences are the long rough in the summer and the sea breezes which are frequent and ever changing. The clubhouse is welcoming and serves great food and the Pro shop is well stocked. I would definitely recommend especially if you wanted to make a day of it with a round of golf and a day at the seaside.Reviewer Rating

Brilliant Day out
Top notch course with greens that some can only dream of having. Lots of work going on to make the course even better.Hospitality was some of the best I've ever encountered. From bar staff to General Manager, everyone is there to make sure you have a good time. If I lived nearer I would definitely be looking to join this lovely club.
