Long open course, quite barren, clubhouse good, expensive green fee

Very wet on the clay ground but good on the chalk. We played in dreadful rain but like to try again in summer.

Greens very bumpy after spiking which we understand has had to be undertaken early due to hosting of PGA Masters event, but recent weather has hampered their recovery. Course generally untidy (bunkers not raked, fairway grass seemed long etc) but clubhouse is immaculate and staff are very helpful (especially Angie)

The course itself is in good nick, greens will take a well hit ball, they run true and are a good pace. What I don't like is the lack of definition, due to the absence of trees- the place used to be a farm, so it's very open. The fairways are therefore defined by some extremely long grass just off the first cut of rough. The higher handicappers I was playing with found the long grass very tough, as once you're in it you're either hacking out sideways or re-loading. Not a bad course by any stretch just not my fave.

This is still pretty average and a bland all round. Played here years ago and hasn't really altered as it still looks like a pasture with holes dotted through it.

Pinch point on 1st hole Yellow, with groups converging from all sides. Rough was pretty unforgiving, lost balls that were 6 inches off fairway. They don't seem to have heard of a first cut. Result was nice looking course, but fairly miserable round.

Improvements undone by long thick rough. An average 4 ball will always have one ball in the rough on every hole which results in a long and frustrating round for everyone.

Ok, had rained quite a bit before our round and the drainage was fairly poor on the front nine (Blue) of the purple course. Back nine was better (Red). Will probably not go back until Spring now. Only paid £10 for a round though so can really complain too much.

Not a particularly memorable course-many similar holes, though a couple of them are challenging. Given the abundance of courses in the area I wouldn't rush back there.

Rough is a joke

Usually enjoy playing Farleigh, but they have let the rough grow to a level where if the ball rolls of the fairway or goes straight into the rough, you won't be finding it, which takes the enjoyment out of the round.

Very open course with some interesting holes

Mostly set in open so cold in winter with icy blasts across making wrapping up essential!
Well kept and holes provided a medium level challenge but would be better in summer.

Fairways a bit partched but overall in good nick

Green in Good condition and made slower by damp air and moisture. Tee Boxes wide and expansive. Played Yellow and Red. Not sure about Blue but looked in good condition as well
