Nice track
The weather has been awful up to the day but the course was in incredible condition. Really good club house and a thoroughly enjoyable day(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 19.5)

Fantastic course in great condition. Plenty to test good handicappers with plenty of bunkers and difficult lies.

The course was in good condition for the time of the year the greens was very slow but that was understandable for the time of year.

Played here on a society day. Well looked after and course was in great condition. Good variety amongst holes and it was an enjoyable round. Greens were in great nick and a decent speed. Good food in the clubhouse afterwards and a friendly welcome all round.

Played with a member so got a cheaper rate. Would be well worth paying the full rate though. Excellent kept course.

Course was in great condition. We play there once a year for a work golf society and they always look after us well.

Paying a lot more for my round than I usually would, £30 for a twilight time, I had high hopes for Effingham. Perhaps because of that added expectation, Effingham didn't quite hit the mark for me.
That's not to say that this isn't a lovely course, because it really is. The are some very pretty looking holes, especially on the back 9, and the views towards London are exceptional.
The fairways are generally pretty wide, which is good because when you leave the fairway there's some pretty mean rough. The greens were very smooth and ran fairly well, although as a group we felt that the speeds between greens were fairly inconsistent. Again, maybe that's us being a little picky given the cost.
Would I go back? I probably would, although I am certain there are better courses for the money.

Simply a very good course. In November the fairways were very firm and greens good. Generous fairways and should be enjoyable for different standards of golfer. Pleasant setting in rural Surrey although not too far away from London. Good value in winter.

Excellent course although expensive for what it offers. Very tough rough especially if played close to Open qualifying!

Superb clubhouse with welcoming staff, very fair test on the course with great views across Surrey to Canary Wharf in the far distance, took three good friends who had not played the course before and they loved it, very relaxing terrace behind the 18th green for the post-match congratulations and commiserations. My partner and I lost so it must be good!
