At no time has the term fantastic draining course been more accurate. Given the wettest winter on record this Colt Gem simply absorbs! Fantastic traditional venue with a really welcoming feel about the place. Refurbished Elizabeth Lounge adds a touch of class to a genuine year round facility. Highly recommended.

Fantastic venue; great course (doesn't look difficult but if you go in the rough, you are really punished), the greens are fast and true and well protected. The clubhouse is lovely, both comfortable with large changing rooms, and excellent food. Well worth a visit; I'll be back soon.

Fantastic course all year round great greens, Winter golf is great with greens in play and trollies and buggies allowed! fairways excellent with plenty of grass, bunkers very playable. Clubhouse staff very welcoming and pleasant.

Great place for Winter golf with fast draining through the chalk base. Staff friendly and welcoming. Better golfers would benefit from White/Black tees but Yellows tough enough for me!

Effingham is truly a class act,it has a great history and heritage ,the coarse is built on chalk so is a brilliant cousre to play in the winter or after heavy rain as it drys very well

Superb clubhouse with welcoming staff, very fair test on the course with great views across Surrey to Canary Wharf in the far distance, took three good friends who had not played the course before and they loved it, very relaxing terrace behind the 18th green for the post-match congratulations and commiserations. My partner and I lost so it must be good!

Society Day at Effingham
Traditional members course. Harry Colt designed. Very heavily bunkered (84 bunkers?). Par 3 holes particularly difficult. Very good turf on fairways plus fast true greens. I found that driving was.easier - open fairways and rough not to tough. Played better than my handicap due to the high Slope. Excellent clubhouse food. Not a cheap venue but worth the money. Would happily play again, some local knowledge ideal (eg bunker positions and green slopes). Great views of distant London skylineReviewer Rating

Effingham is a ?proper? golf club. Wood panelled walls and old world charm and tradition. Beautiful golf course. Great greens. They have a superb halfway hut as well. The staff were very friendly. I played with a member which made the fee much more reasonable than the standard visitor rate.

Lovely course. Played in a corporate society day there. Shocked by how empty the course was, we largely had it to ourselves. Made for an unpressurised round.

New Course at Walton Heath
The course is predominantly flat and at some places intertwines with the old course. It is a fair challenge for most categories of golfer. It is pretty essential to make sure you hit straight off the tee in that there is plenty of heather to catch the stray shot. Even If you can find your ball, it is then a difficult shot out. The fairways and greens were in very good condition and the greens were very consistent. The clubhouse is excellent and staff were as ever first class. An enjoyable round of golf if not always straightforward.Reviewer Rating

Great Condition
considering the recent weather the course was in great shape, very challenging at times but forgiving in others, the greens were very well kept and the setting is devine(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 14.8)

Nice track
The weather has been awful up to the day but the course was in incredible condition. Really good club house and a thoroughly enjoyable day(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 90 Handicap: 19.5)
