Great Club house

The Club house is very nice the greens are well looked after, my only grumble is that it's difficult to pick up a snack as there is no half way house as the back nine is a bit far from the Club house

Played a society here, the course was in good condition especially the greens which were true and fast. Fairways were a little bare in places but understandable at this time of year. All in all a good test of golf and a decent track at reasonable green fees

Good Society Venue

Played the course with village golf society, staff welcoming for coffee and generous bacon roll. Good practice facilities with driving range. Course designed by Peter Allis around 1990 very open links style but with previous field hedges. Very fast greens, quite a few holes feel similar but some definite challenges for golfers of all abilities.

Society game with a warm welcome. Fairways suffering from the dry weather, greens slow grass too long.

(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 102 Handicap: )
Course was in good condition, tee off at 8.45 and not too busy as most members had already teed off. A good course for all abilities, but wayward drives are punished by heavy rough in gullies on some holes. A high handicapper can score well by playing a tactical game: two good mid irons can get you safely on quite a few greens - so don't reach for the driver on every hole! Used my driver on front nine and scored a shocking 58, played tactical irons on back nine and scored 43!

An open course, but if you stray from the fairway, you will not find your ball. The rough is very long and matted. However, the greens are in a good condition and the course drainage is very good.
