Cumberwell Park

Fantastic course, great condition and lovely setting. Some challenging holes but for a mid handicapper like me it let me play my own game.

Friendly staff and great facilities

Excellent Venue

Played the Red & Blue Courses.
Blue was very nice, picked out around enough water to make it interesting, but not too much to get tedious.
Red, a couple of nice holes, but probably the 'least good' of the different 9's for me. Although the 7th is a lovely hole.
Greens & bunkers excellent.
You won't be disappointed with any of the 9 hole combinations

Great set out in a lovely setting with great views.
I played the Orange & Yellow.
Orange has a 'linksy' feel. Very punishing knee deep rough if you're off line (hence 6 penalties!!) I have to say losing a ball in deep rough when only 5 yards left of a par 3 green did feel a little harsh.
Yellow, more of a woodland feel. Therefore the grass wasn't quite as harsh if off line. Nice use of a few bits of water as well.
Greens & bunkers good on both courses.
All in all a superb complex, I'll definitely be back.

A hilly, challenging layout

Course was damp after overnight rain, with very soft ground in places. Grass was longer than in summer months. Mud balls were common. Winter rules introduced on day of visit. Stiff breeze added to the difficulty. Many dogleg fairways, blind tees shots. Greens had been sanded in previous 3 days, much residue on surfaces.

Rough on the orange needs cutting. If you go in there you have no chance of finding the ball, also was no told that one of the par 4s on the yellow is under reconstruction so is actually a par 3 yet they are still charging full price. Played a couple of weeks ago and got a warning for slow play, and my last 2 rounds have been told to play slow as they were trying to fit in as many tee times as they could due to 2 of the 9s being used for a club championship, which is fair enough, but again was not told this before booking the tee time. This place has great facilities, but they are all about making money at the cost of enjoyment and non members

Always a joy

Ts always seems to be windy here but it adds to the test of golf. Fairways could do with a mow, others than that it was lovely

Awesome course always go back

A group of us often go here for a day, for £60 each they give us full English, 18 holes, steak and chips, 18 holes and a drink after. For the quality of the course there are not many out there that offer this kind of facility at this price! Fantastic short game area and driving range, all very friendly with a very well priced pro shop. I travel from Southampton and it is well worth the drive

"Incredible facilities and course"

The course is great.(red and yellow). Four 9 holes, a par 3 course, a massive chipping academy, an amazing high tech range in the making, two putting greens and a very welcoming clubhouse and restaurant. What more could you ask for!!!
