What the club says: Kingsdown Golf Club was founded in 1880. It is the oldest golf club in Wiltshire and the second oldest in the West Country, outliving all but twelve English clubs. It has an established reputation as a friendly club and the course is a test for even the best golfers. Parts of the course boast spectacular views from Kingsdown’s downland hilltop across the valley of Box and Colerne and into Bath, adding to the pleasure of playing golf on one of Wiltshire’s finest and most challenging courses

Exceptional course and club
Having been a member for a few years I have nothing but high praise for the course and the club as a whole. It is a course that can be played all year round and drains exceptionally well. Seldom have I had to play with any large pools of water on the fairways and greens. The pro shop and club house staff give it a family feel and members are very friendly. One of the best, if not the best clubs and courses in Wiltshire!Reviewer Rating

Nice surprise package
I played here in 2022 and again in August 2023 as a member's guest and it is a great lay out kept in good condition throughout. A lively and friendly set of members too with a good atmosphere in the clubhouse.Reviewer Rating

Tricky, well drained course, with stunning views. Greens in excellent condition, although fairways are still recovering from last year's drought.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 120 Handicap: )

Good course
Revisited after a break of over 5 years, still a challenging course and being on top of a hill, the elements (wind!) will test your skills. Fantastic views across to the city of Bath from holes 13 & 15.Reviewer Rating

The greens were very good but the 16th. Don't know what had happened to that green but it wasn't as good as others. Some good views over the countryside on the back nine. But it's always windy because of the level of the golf course (on a hill). The only disappointing thing was that a token for 90 balls was £7.25. But there was not another option it was 90 balls or nothing!
