slow
pace of play very slow ruined the game, 2 4 balls in front would not let anyone pass. they were taking 3 or 4 shots of the tee spending more than 3 mins looking for balls and still did not not let anyone down. the pace of play really lets this course down its one of the reason i won't join.(Round played: Dec 2020 - Score: 92 Handicap: 18.1)

Not Dog Friendly
A great little course, very good value for money, friendly welcoming staff but unfortunately dogs are no longer allowed on the course even well behaved dogs on leads. A real shame even though the hotel advertises itself as pet friendly. This is unfortunately reflected in my rating.Reviewer Rating

Pace of play so slow with lots of new covid golfers with no idea of the rules, 2 ball in front would not let me play though, kept waiting for green to clear even on par 4's when they could only hit ball 100 yards or so, talking on green before moving on held me up and the groups behind me, at this time the course needs masharals to help speed up play.

All good

Has potential, but not great
Tee'd off at 9am and the greens had been spiked and sanded that morning which meant they were almost unplayable, no put was true all morning. Break and speed were just impossible to judge. I had the impression that in any other day they might be decent. Fairways were in equally poor condition and judging if you were on the fairway or in the first cut was difficult.Layout wise, there are a couple of memorable holes and a few challenges but nothing to warrant calling it an exciting or challenging course.
To top it all off, the pro shop reassembled a final day closing down sale. I forgot a towel and being a dewy morning, I was more than willing to part with ?15-?20 for the shop's 'cheapest towel' but was informed that there wasn't a single one in stock. The same went for umbrellas, course guides, overteousers and anything else you'd happily part with cash for a last minute panic purchase.
