What the club says: Churchill & Blakedown Golf Club was founded in 1926 and is set in lovely Worcestershire countryside that offers breathtaking views from the course and clubhouse.The parkland course of some 6,500 yards offers a true test to all levels of golfer with the quality of the greens being a feature.That the Club is often chosen to host Worcestershire County events is testimony to the golfing challenge offered.

Mixed
Greens much better. Better level of sand in the bottoms of the bunkers but grass and weeds in other areas. Fairways getting better after the summer drought. Just seems to be lacking some TLC…..Reviewer Rating

Firm and Fast
Very firm and fast making finding the fairway in some holes nigh on impossible…..Feel the rough needs to be grown up (when able) to help speed up play and also stop balls running crazy distances when not even offline. Greens running ok, little slow compared to other courses I’ve played and bunkers very inconsistent with amount of sand. Course really needs some rain.

Keeps Getting Better
Over the past 4-5 months the course has got better and better. The new head Greenkeeper Wayne has made a massive difference to the course as a whole but especially the greens. Played here Saturday and I can honestly say they are the best they've been since I joined over 5 years ago?so pure and quick too.It really is a joy to play here and I'm not the only one to say this.
If you want a friendly, enjoyable and relaxed game then here is the place to play.

Worcestershires best kept secret. Fantastic course layout which is just getting better & better. From tee to green it presents challenges on every hole from 1-18 which really eliminates any idea of it being 'just' 9 holes. Such a warm welcome every time from the pro shop to the bar. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Stunning
Since the new head Greenkeeper came the course has gone from strength to strength. Some subtle but great changes already. Definition is fantastic now. Bunkers looking and playing very well. Winter Golf At It?s Finest
Given the weather of the last few weeks the course was in fantastic condition. No sign of any plugged balls or wet spots. Still getting run on the balls off the tee, bunkers firm but very playable. Greens were running true and a decent pace. Very friendly welcome as always from Angus in the shop. Food and drinks always great as is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the club house. Alys really has made the clubhouse the friendliest I've ever seen.Definitely a club to pay a visit for all levels of golfer. Challenging for best of players but also playable for any golfer no matter what the ability.

Winter Golf At It?s Best
Given the weather over the last few weeks it never ceases to amaze me how good this course is??playable 52 weeks a year it really is a course that stands up to all weathers?Tees were in great condition, still run on the fairways and the greens were running true and at a good pace for the time of year.
Anyone thinking about a game (especially when other courses are closed/unplayable) should get themselves a game here.

Just Fantastic
Course was as good as it's been for 12 months. Tees and fairways have a lovely coverage of grass. Bunkers are great and credit goes to the young lads that I know go in and take them at the weekends.Greens running true and at a great pace. All in all as good as it gets ????????Reviewer Rating

What?s Not To Like
Course has gone from strength to strength since lockdown. Bunkers looking better by the day. Fairways looking great. Greens also picking up by the day and will only get better. Always playable no matter what the weather (unless it's snow) make this a great venue to play. Food is always of the highest quality. Winter Golf At Its Finest
Given all the rain of the last couple of months this course is in as good a condition as you're likely to find anywhere. Tees look great, fairways showing growth and definition already. Bunkers have had work on them and look and play really well. The greens are receptive as you would expect but also running at a great speed. It will only get better as the year progresses.Well worth anyone?s time in playing.

Fabulous course
Great course with lots of different challenges, testing all aspects of your game, although remaining playable & enjoyable for higher handicaps too. The course is in great condition considering all the rain & is very well looked after. Friendly & knowledgable staff in the pro shop & a great bar with excellent food. This course loves rain. With all the heavy rain and course closures within the area, Churchill and Blakedown remained open, this course soaks it up. Tees and greens in full use and in great condition. Superb course for all seasons

As ever the course was in great condition. Fairways looking lovely with some nice definition. Bunkers better than most you will come across. Great Condition especially in January
Course was in wonderful condition. Greens running well, bunkers were fabulous, fairways starting timojck up from the drought and still getting plenty of run on the ball. Can't really fault it to be honest. Worth a try for anyone looking for a game in a great, challenging bit rewarding course that is always playable (unless there?s snow on the ground).Reviewer Rating
