What the club says: The picturesque 18 hole championship golf course is well known and respected having been designed by Course Architect, Howard Swan, around a 43 acre Royal Forest.
It is a most attractive course to play offering many interesting features in a wide range of varying picturesque settings including water features on the 14th, 16th & 18th fairways. It offers challenging golf with advantages which reward the low handicap golfer whilst encouraging the higher handicapper. The course is to USGA Standard, 6455 yards, Par 71.
We now have a 12 bay, Floodlit & Covered driving range, which was completed in November 2013. Prices start from £2.00 for 25 balls, £3.00 for 50 balls & £5.00 for 100 balls.

Mr
The greens are an absolute disgrace. Charging ?40 on a Sunday is an absolute joke, every green is horendous, and two tees are off mats. We went there Sunday 13th April, after i played there 5 times last year. The difference detween last year and this year is massive. The fairways and rough are great, but the greens are rediculous. You dont mind it if they are discounting the green fees to compensate, but i repeat - Charging ?40 is an absolute disgrace!!!Reviewer Rating

Worth a round if you have never played this course.
Overall an excellent course with some superb holes. Lots of mud would be my only complaint. And deffo not a buggy hire when its Buggy to path only. In summer I would love to play this when dry and running. Its a slog for an OAP like myself but enjoyable but tiring . Shame about the Pro shop. What happened ?. They had a lovely stocked Pro shop inside the club and now its a 'Shack' ?Reviewer Rating

Worth a visit
Course played well, had to use a rubber mate to play all shots fairways and roughs except tees, bunkers, and putts, rather hilly in places and a good walk with electric trolley, buggy prob recommended if not a fit walker, club house and staff/ facilities all good, nice breakfast and drinks, would visit againReviewer Rating

Lovely Course, nice holes.
Lovely Course in the Summer and well worth a visit. does not seem to hold up so well in the Winter and rain as closed several times due to flooding. Some great holes though and overall I would deffo recommend a visit. On a separate note, if you have any trouble walking then Book a buggy in advance as it has several holes which are very up and down. Not an easy walk.Reviewer Rating

Shocking. Don’t bother. Tees aren’t cut and greens were simply the worst I’ve ‘played’ this year. Scarified and sanded, not swept. Complained at the pro shop for someone simply to say sorry. Definitely avoid.Reviewer Rating

Superb Course.
This really is an amazing Golf Course. Some great blind holes (9th) and then the circle of 14th, 15th and 16th is a truly great layout. If you have never tried it yet then I urge you to give it a try. You will not be disappointed.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic Membership Option.
There were a group of 8 of us joined and we had an amazing deal. The facilities and staff ( Carlie ) are excellent. The course itself has some amazing and scenic holes. A difficult Par 5 to open followed by a nice hole where you can make birdie easily if you hit a good ball off the tee. Not the easiest course to walk and if you have a dodgy knee or struggle with hills then I would recommend a buggy. Overall I would certainly recommend this course and urge you to give it a try.Reviewer Rating

Nice course but a long old walk!
Quiet on a Thursday afternoon so enjoyed a steady round without being held up or chased round.Course generally in good condition, some recent photos looked a tad generous compared with reality with quite a few nicely manicured tee boxes being preserved with tees slightly ahead or to the side.
Good variety of holes, well worth a buggy as it’s quite hilly and whilst only just over 6000 yards there must be an extra couple of thousand with the walks between some holes.
Bunkers, fairways and greens all in decent condition, albeit the latter felt a little slow at times.
Will definitely return...once the legs have recovered!
