Castle Hawk Golf Club, this is a fantastic course, especially for a novice bit also for well seasoned golfers. I love the atmosphere, friendly staff and the fact that most players are there to just have fun. I have been a member of another club and found it to be complete opposite to what Castle Hawk offers. Fun, no pressure, no staff on power trips and no whinging members. Member competitions on back 9 hole course on Saturday only, leaving the par 3 course open for play. This club has got absolutely the right idea of how a golf club should be run. Thank you Castle Hawk.

Played the 9 hole course. First round no-one in front or behind so very relaxed. Greens were damp due to morning due for first few holes. Fairways in great condition. Bunkers pretty solid. Good hole info on tee boxes. Played 2nd nine with 3 ladies just in front of us. They kindly let us through on Second tee. Very friendly staff and players. For a Pay and Play facility it was well worth it.Reviewer Rating

The 18 hole par 3 course is actually in better nick that the 9 hole, the greens are in excellant condition, much better that the more exclusive Crompton & Royton course nearby! The 9 hole can also be played twice with different teeing of points for the back 9. The course also has a driving range £4 for 100 balls (or £3 when you buy a 10 credit car from the clubhouse for £30)
Also the club house and facilitys are currently undergoing a refurb so should be much better when finished.
All in all an excellant course for a very excellant price £11 play all day!

18 hole par 3 course is quite challenging but in poor condition. The 9 hole is in good nick, but there's only 9 holes!! Only £11 for a day ticket though so great value. Quite open with not too much trouble to get into, so good for beginners.

Nice 18 hole par 3 and 9 hole course.
Nice Communal par 3 18 hole course. Down hill holes and thin fairways make it a challenge for anyone.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 76 Handicap: 18)

Value for money you will find nowhere else. Has both a 9 hole course and a par 3 18 and the club is very welcoming. Does food etc so has everything all in one place. Plus a driving range.(Round played: May 2020 - Score: 75 Handicap: 21.8)
