Decent course but in pretty poor condition (very muddy throughout). Still the course is a nice par 3 challenge for high handicappers.

Front 18 putting greens are not in the best nick and could do with being improved, the back 9 course is Ok but the last hole is at the back of the driving range and do fly over the nets and are scatted all over the hole, club house facilities are improving and they do offer good rates for membership.

Well worth ?12.

Played the 9 hole course. First round no-one in front or behind so very relaxed. Greens were damp due to morning due for first few holes. Fairways in great condition. Bunkers pretty solid. Good hole info on tee boxes. Played 2nd nine with 3 ladies just in front of us. They kindly let us through on Second tee. Very friendly staff and players. For a Pay and Play facility it was well worth it.

Quirky little par 3 Course

Some interesting holes especially on the back 9 for a par 3 course.Just a little too boggy, and needs some more grass.

Poor carpark as very muddy. Clubhouse very friendly consisting of a small cafe, bar and pro shop. No dress code and no exact tee booking. 18 hole par3 course good for my game as I am a beginner. The greens needed a bit of work. Played on the 9 hole and it was in good condition although the mats were ruined and a lot of range balls accross the 8th and 9th. ( proper hole directions needed ) Used a groupon voucher we had therefore excellent value. ( 27 holes and lunch for £7)

18 hole par 3 course is quite challenging but in poor condition. The 9 hole is in good nick, but there's only 9 holes!! Only £11 for a day ticket though so great value. Quite open with not too much trouble to get into, so good for beginners.

very relaxed atmos , there are two courses avallible to play and only one fee for the day! and also a driving range. The first course is an 18 hole par 3's except the 12th which is a par four. It is for beginers really but good if you want to home in your short game as some of these par 3's can test the best of us . At the min (winter) the greens are not very good but are still summer greens. It can also get very busy in summer as no tee times are needed so beware. The second course is a 9 holer, it is an ok round of golf, nothing too challenging and even in winter is in reasonable condition, point to note is the 9 hole is for members only on sat . The club house is friendly enough , it has a little cafe , a bar and a pro shop. Over all I would say it is a great place for a golfer to start out and very welcome when you need a quick fix of golf at short notice, as there is no real dress code it will not appeal to all but we've all got to start somewhere ! enjoy.

Although i am new to golf and quite like castle hawk i think the thing thatis offputting is the frequency of balls coming onto different fairways, i havespoken to a few people who have been hit by balls of other fairways, i also was displeased when i approached the 18th on my last visit and people waiting to go onto the 9 hole course were putting and chipping on the green while they waited to begin their own games, i dont mind that but did when they made no attempt to stop doing so when my son and myself were trying to finish our game, they continued to putt and chip balls past us as we played the hole, i didnt report this incident as i dont like causing trouble, i justwish people would have some common courtesy, Walt
