Tricky course winding it's way around mature woodland for most of the holes though it does open out on some of the middle holes. Driving range available with a slippery putting green to scare you before starting your round. Nice mixture of Par 3's , 4's and 5's with an inviting clubhouse. Members appear friendly and staff warmly welcomed us at all times.
Green fees are expensive in Summer (£40 Weekdays and £55 Weekends) best time to go is between 1st November and 31st March where Weekdays and Weekends are a reasonable £20.

played this on a twighlight mid week for £20 and have to say what fantastic value! Course is an old fashioned parkland course and a real test. Greens in fantastic condition with enough fringe to be a fair test, rough was a nightmare to get out of so 3 wood rather than driver was the measure of the day but boy what a course. Thoroughly recommend it as a test of golf and for the stunning features. Only gripe was the tee boxes looked in need of a break but I understand from a member that they were due to be rotated this week. If you are in the area Canterbury is a must visit!

A really classic old style course that seems to make the most of natural hills, valleys and slopes to make every shot a thinking golfers dream. Course was in excellant condition as well which made the design stand out further. It's tough though, I played poorly on the back 9 and got punished for any miss hit, certainly worth a visit if you've got money to burn as it doesn't fall into my usual cheap category. Other facilities looked good too but I didn't have time to explore further.

Very good greens. Remarkably fast despite heavy recent rain. Full rough was very fluffy and harsh and really had to dig ball out. The fairways are generous in most places but its a very good challenge. Clubhouse in desperate need of a refurbishment. £48 a round for visitor a bit too steep though we played a twilight and after 3 even in mid summer at £20 is good value.
