Should be called Loch Lomond on the Carrick
This course is absolutely soaking wet! It's a real shame as the layout & views are spectacular. I would love to play it after a drought!Reviewer Rating

Boggy conditions
Really disappointed never played such a boggy wet golf course, don't get me wrong the layout is ok and the views are great but that doesn't make up for the extremly poor condition, this is as far from a championship course as it is from being dry! Consolation was the place was really quiet compared to the last time we played, which was great, I can only imagine it's down to the condition.Reviewer Rating

Too Wet Underfoot
When told that the official condition of the course was "saturated" should have set the alarm bells ringing. The tees were fine, the greens had been cored (understandable at this time of year) but ALL of the fairways were absolutely sodden, some flooded and virtually unplayable. Had this been any other course it would have been closed as it would be deemed so. Unfortunately the lure of money keeps them ticking over putting golfers out there onto what amounted to marshland/paddy fields. A real shame as there are some very good holes but they could not be enjoyed given the state of the fairways.Reviewer Rating

TLC required
A great lay out and fantastic settings but needs some care and attention as it has went downhill since the last time I played the course almost 3 years ago. They have went for quantity over quality and is still a society venue. A real shame.Reviewer Rating
