Played the course for the first time. Course layout is very good will suit all handicaps. The only fault is that the bunkers need sand.but don’t let that stop you playing it,

Nice day out

Course played easy as tge greens were soft and smooth, nice flat walk good for all standards, course is as you see only a few blind shots, bunkers weren't great but greens, fairways and tees all solid.

Golf

Good wee course, currently offering a great membership deal, course is being invested in which is feeding through to the condition. Like many clubs in the modern day the food and drink are just ok, and clearly the clubhouse and off course facilities are a drain on the running of the club!

This is a flat parkland course which gives you every opportunity to do well. On a few of the holes you need to be in the right place but in general you'll have a chance. The fairways were very easy on the feet, but at this time there wasn't a great covering of grass. We all had trouble on the par threes, but this may say more about our golf than the level of difficulty. An excellent course for the higher handicapper, not sure it provides a test for the low handicapper.

Played as part of a trip to the area 22/03/15. Great location and potentially a great course. However the condition of some of the greens (13th looks like Verdun) is an area of some concern, most greens suffered from some sort of feature be it crater, tractor tracks, pot hole, or dressing. The course could benefit from some signs highlighting the way although the lack of normal 11th was detailed at the hole and would be judged as part of the normal winter challenges a course faces.
Considering the condition, the £30 fee was in my opinion poor value for money.

With £ 42 green fees one expects something special. Alas the course does not give this back. Its fairly mediocre. Lots of GUR with no sign of repair in progress Bunkers with clay and stone instead of sand. Overall a disappointment. What is the signature hole?. I have played it today and cant remember a single hole tonight. Good 17 our of 18 greens. Poor probably 80% of the bunkers. General outlook "scruffy". Ask for a 25% discount before the round otherwise you'll pay to much.

The course was in Superb condition (May 08), although as this was 1 day before a local pro-am this may have had something to do with the condition.

Although a fairly flat course, the maority of the holes were dog-legs, fairly wide fairways, and although not offering the hardest test of golf, sufficient to keep everyone interested.

The staff were helpful, welcoming, and the 19th facilities were more than adequate.

Thoroughly enjoyable, and recommended.

Parkland course with very difficult back nine especially if the westerly wind is blowing, since the course is situated at top of a hill.
Par 3's must be hit to allow scoring due to small sized contoured greens well guarded by bunkers.
Plus 3 par 5's which can be birdied depending on wind conditions. Overall a fair but challenging golf course
