Superb

Played this course a few times and just keeps getting better and better each time. Last played this in 2022 when it was scorching hot and understandably back then the greens were rock hard and some badly burnt by the sun and bunkers were very poor. However played here again yesterday and wow what a difference around the clubhouse looks neater and tidier, and the course was in fantastic condition even looks like they’ve spent some money on the bunkers seems to be new sand in most. Greens were in very good condition a little on the slower side to other courses but still very good. Enjoyable day again they have an offer on at the moment too a flexi membership there is a banner at the back of the 18th green and I am considering this.

Nice challenging track

First time playing here and for the time of year I must say the course was in excellent condition, greens very good more like summer pace than winter. Bunkers need a bit of work but Iv seen worse. Got to be straight off most tees otherwise you’ll be in trouble with the trees although greenkeepers looked very busy doing a lot of tree work. Good practice facilities but could do with a bit more attention has the potential to be a great golf course, will be returning in the summer to see what it’s like then. Great value for money £25 for 18 holes, tea or coffee with a carvery bap after which was delicious and very friendly staff in clubhouse. Recommend !!!

Extremely good value round .Not a tough test ( thankfully) the difficulty lies in positioning the ball off the tee on the narrower holes.Excellent facilities at hand - will definitely return

Great fairways and greens

First time I've played here and found the course to be in excellent condition. The fairways and greens were fantastic and the pace of play was great. Other players I found to be very pleasant and obliging. The first hole was a bit daunting as a player of only two years experience as it goes over a lake. Never mind, it's all experience!! Once I had got past the first two holes, I settled into 3 pars and 6 bogies.!!

the course is in excellent condition for this time of the year , the greens are firly quick. Sand in the bunkers not the best but I have come across worse. fairways are in good condition , allowing for reasonable roll . several ongoing improvement projects which didn't affect play in any way .

will be going back

fantastic weekend there played 3 rounds coarse was in fabulous condition considering how much rain wed had the week before? the accomodation was clean modern and comfortable with a hot shower and spacious bathroom . the staff were all accomodating and friendly, julie in the pro shop and paul the coarse marshall deserve a special thank you for the discounts given on buggies clothing etc. and the bar sevice and food where 10/10 plenty of food and cooked to a hugely high standard and excellent service overall a fantastic weekend had by all 27 of us. thanks to all at calderfields g+c club.

Fantastic Golf Society Venue

Held our Society event at Calderfields GC at the end of Apr18 and had a fantastic day! A well stocked pro shop catered for any last minute necessities and the opportunity to use the golf simulator or the associated driving range were enjoyed by some before we went out. Out on the course, fairways and greens were in excellent condition considering the prolonged winter period we’ve experienced, no need for preferred lies, greens were receptive and putts ran true. The hospitality we were shown was fantastic, coffee and bacon rolls before we went out and refreshing beverages when we got back in. In terms of value, you won’t beat Calderfields.

Excellent course nice and flat, nice greens and very friendly people. Nice lake to get over on 2 holes which is tough.

arrived to a friendly welcome, relaxed atmosphere. Course was great. Booked dinner for 7pm but we were a bit late coming off the course, the restaurant was empty but the staff were waiting for us and made sure we had a first class service, the food for the day was a carvery which had finished but they had Made us all up a a massive plate, it was amazing food. Cabins were comfortable and had everything you need. Will be back next year

Bargain of a golf weekend, lovely course, great accommodation and tasty food....6 of us played and none of us to find anything to complain about. Course is tight in places and the greens are a good test even for the best putters.
