The course is great. but the golfing Gods do not like smart ass's.
Played the Burstead twice, first round first hole, laid my T shot up, 160 to the pin, nailed it for Eagle. the sixth, 440 put it to within 6inches, tap in birdie.
second time I played I thought i'm going to smash this course. First (Eagle)hole,sliced two balls out of bounds right, off the tee. Hate this game. The sixth (tap in birdie) snap hooked two balls left off the Tee. Oh did mention, hate this game. Brilliant course though.

excellent golf course, the course itself makes you think about your shots, quite narrow fairways and well protected greens. The greens are in excellent condition and a joy to putt on. Club house and facilities are also excellent would definitely recommend this course to anyone.

I have played a few times recently. Course is in perfect condition, especially the greens, fast and consistent. Had an 8 of us go out early Sunday afternoon and for £22 it was an absolute bargain.
Also best club sandwich in Essex

Played on a sunny Monday morning, Course in excellent condition and great price (online)
Greens were good condition as always, few of the cups/holes could have been 'cut' better. Would recomend

Very Good course. Unfortunately hit every bunker going! A good Challenge for high handicappers! Had a lovely lunch and the staff were very polite. Spoke to the Director of Golf and he was a nice chap too. All round friendly club.
