Course is an excellent challenge with the greens particularly well maintained.

Course is in superb condition. Greens are excellent. Bunkers well maintained. Some strategic placement on tee shots required on the par 5's. Highly recommended.

Even though it is less than 20 minutes from where I live this was my first visit.
Facilities can be described as small, functional, well staffed and stocked. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Tee boxes were generally good and where they were worn remedial actions was visibly being taken. The fairways were in excellent condition as were the greens; which were reasonably paced and true. Even the paths were well maintained.
Well placed ditches, water and a proliferation of bunkers that were perfectly positioned to catch anything a little wayward ((which is why I hit 4 !). Tree and bushes are reasonably well established though still quite young. Plenty of varieties of birds (herons, terns, pheasants) around to watch when the golf spirits desert you.
Food from the clubhouse was reasonably priced, simple and very enjoyable.
On the whole I cannot complain about anything (other than my own personal shortcomings).

Played the course 26/04/14. Course in great condition and a pleasure to play there.Not the longest of holes but you have to be on top of your course management to work your way around. I play off 18 and scored a net 64.Will play there again.

A great day out. Course in lovely condition with plenty of variation . Not a long course but very challenging. Pro shop staff very helpful and good food served in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Recommended!

Was very wet underfoot and also windy, course was still in good condition considering weather we had! Can't to play it when drys out again.

Went to The Burstead as a guest recently and had a great game. Some challenging holes and varied course. After the round we had a great meal in the clubhouse restaurant. Hidden gem. Will be returning.
