The course winds its way in and around old disused quarries which are now full of grass and plants. This makes for some great holes, but also some bemused looks as you wonder where you are meant to be playing to or where the next hole is. At 5,500 yards off the yellow tees it's not too long, and the length and level of difficulty makes it suitable for golfers of any standard.
We paid £50 for a 4-ball, which was excellent value - although it would have been nice to know that winter greens were in operation when we booked. In fairness, the condition of the winter greens was comparable to many clubs actual greens at this stage in the season, and it didn't affect the game too much. Will be good to come back and play the proper greens in the summer.
