Lovely little course - out of the way though
This is a great course in a lovely town, its just a long way from anywhere. Some great views over the water on a number of holes. The front 9 plays short, but they make up for that on the back 9. Much longer and tougher. But that makes for a great course. Greens in good condition, fairways cut well. Everyone we met was welcoming. Would visit again.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: 12.8)

Great Day out, The most scenic local course
This was the first time over at Burnham on Crouch course and I have to say I was very impressed. A warmish blustery day in March, the course was challenging but make able and played fairly true despite a deluge of rain the previous two days. I do feel for green-keepers during this time. The four thoroughly enjoyed the course and I for one can't wait to go back and if there was a bridge over the crouch I would definitely be a member.Reviewer Rating

Very nice
Really interesting course with some fabulous views. Short front nine (34) but no lack of distance on the back nine. The front nine needs navigating properly, but you can open your shoulders more on the back. Greens a little bumpy, but it's February so that can be forgiven and if you hit the putt firmly it rolled well.Nice clubhouse with comfortable changing rooms and very good showers.
But the clinchers on the day were the staff and the food. Everyone (From the pro to the bar staff) was very friendly and definitely went out of their way to make sure we were happy and informed. The beef pie was nothing short of magnificent. It was huge!!

Never the same
Been a member for almost year now and have played in all weathersVery rarely are the wind conditions the same week to week so the course is always a challenge
Not a long course but a well maintained and excellently kept course
Greens are good and members friendly

My Home Course
I'm a member and therefore biased. The course is not in the best condition it's ever been but the drought conditions for the last 18 months are the primary cause of this. That said its a great test of golf on a relatively short course. On a fine day the views alone are worth visiting for. You'll always be met by welcoming members and friendly staff.(Round played: Nov 2017 - Score: 95 Handicap: )

Well worth a visit
A surprising little gem of a course, just up the road from where I live - can't believe I've not been here before. We had a very warm welcome from the Pro and members who were extremely welcoming. A storm hit before we could tee off and the sirens went off and those out on the course came in. We were treated to complimentary coffee and some excellent advice from the local members while the storm passed. The course itself is fairly hilly with some excellent holes and challenges (Hit no more than 170 on the 3rd otherwise you won't stop it). Greens were well paced and receptive. Highlight: birdied the 9th wide a 9 iron in to 10ft. Will definitely come back, especially while they have their 4-ball offer. Highly recommended(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 18.2)

Shortish course off the yellows(5742) but challenging with links style fiery bounce. The wind defends the course well. Lovely views over the river Crouch
if you are playing badly! Nice club house with balcony, dress code no jeans or trainers
