Fair course
It's a very 9 holes basic beginners course with 2 par 3 1 par 5 and 6 par 4. Short and wide. Lovely staff and fair conditions(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 85 Handicap: 23.6)

Good municipal course
This is a good course for mid and high handicappers. It is not too long and is pretty flat. Nothing is too easy and it is certainly a good 'learning' course or practice course. You can get round 9 holes in 1.5 hr. Main problem is that it can get very crowded with 'hackers' and beginners who take ages over a shot - this can increase round time dramatically. Also, not particularly cheap for what it is - you can get better value at much better courses.Reviewer Rating

A fairly flat course in pleasant surroundings with a quite hefty Par 5 that is a challenge for beginners. Finishes with a dangerous Par 4 that has traps mid-fairway and a small stream dissecting the green making it hazard-tastic and ready to really spoil your card as tiredness sets in and visions of a small but excellent coffee distract you after a hefty round. Well kept but busy with members early doors at the w/e and not particularly cheap Sat/Sun if you do 18 by going around twice.

That said, there are a good mix of holes on this course with plenty of birdie opportunities. The 9th is an absolute cracker, one of the best par 3s in South London. There's a decent driving range and the overall condition of the course was excellent, the greens were very quick.
I would avoid this course at busy times, but it's a pay and play public course and you have to accept that you are going to find yourself behind a group of 16 year old hackers wearing jeans and trainers occasionally.
A good course to learn the game but if you're any way a decent player (or reckon yourself to be) head down the road to Chelsfield, High Elms or Broke Hill, Orpington or Birchwood, all of which are 15 minutes drive away.
