What the club says: The course was built as a parkland site, opening in 1910, and was formerly part of the Goodhart Estate and still retains much of the original flat terrain dominated by many maturing oak trees. It is a haven of peace and solitude which is surprising considering its close proximity to the centre of London.

The course is set in 120 acres and measures 6477 off the medal tees with a par of 70. With a Standard Scratch Score of 71, it provides an unrelenting, but fair, challenge to the serious golfer. The course has been used as a Regional Open qualifier and is well known for its exceptional greens. The yellow and red tees are slightly more forgiving but still present a fine test for all standards.

Decent course, slightly pricey

The holes are all nice looking holes. You're still quite close to central London. There are roads running through and alongside the course which spoils the tranquility a bit on a couple of the holes, but it's a minor irritation. Greens were great, fairways were good and it was a fun round. The price charged was £85, £10 more than advertised on the website, and £7 for a pull trolley rather than £4 or £5 at most other places just feels like they are squeezing a bit too hard. For £70 and a fiver I'd be back but at £92 for a round and a trolley I feel there is competition out there.

One of a few courses open yesterday. The course was in very good condition considering the recent rain . However l think ?75 for guests is a bit too expensive. The staff and service in the clubhouse were very good and welcoming. One or two holes are very similar.

First time round here playing with a member. Far more interesting than the website and card would have you believe. Have also recently made a couple of the longer par 4's into par 5's which seems a sensible move for the average length hitter. Course was in pretty decent condition despite the recent rain. Greens were decent if a little slow but were receptive. Would play again. Nice lunch before the round and decent pint after. Clubhouse itself is nice.

Much better

Visited in June, course is being looked after much better since last attendance. Only negative is that greens are quite slow and probably need more rolling out.

average / over-priced

The course is not in great condition now, fairways not mown, whole course looks shabby, greens were slow. Way over-priced at £75 / round - even twilight at £45 is pricey for the condition of the course.

Nice course and a challenge to get round with good score. One drawback were the roads which seem to surround the entire course which made it very noisy. Cracking little pro shop which was very friendly.

Tough, long course with great atmosphere

This mostly flat, members course has seen a huge amount of work over the last 6 months to address impenetrable rough and poor fairways. Slope index 133, off the Yellows, with only 1 par 5, but many long par 4s. Really great social side with very friendly membership and management. Love the final 3 holes to close out the round, with a picturesque 18th to finish.

TERRIBLE

Played 23rd August and I don't think I have played on a course with worse Fairways EVER. It is like playing on a Park Football Pitch. Only the 11th Fairway was playable without having to pick and place.

very poor fairways, long, but parallel fairways

Langley Park was quite a disappointment,, having dry, hot fairways and holes that blended into each other. Not very memorable experience. Super fast greens that held well.
