Myself and 3 of my golfing friends have been travelling round the past few years playing the countries top 100 courses and last week we played Broadstone. I had heard a lot of very good things about Broadstone and to say we were not disappointed would be an understatement. From the second we arrived in the pro shop to the time we left we could not have been looked after better. As for the course we all agreed it was possibly the best layout of all the heathland courses we had played with some exhilarating holes and 4 of the best par 3\'s you can play. The greens were the best we have played all year and though Parkstone and Ferndown are both good courses in there own right they pale in significance to Broadstone. I think Broadstone is well up there with the great heathland courses such as Walton Heath and is definitely a Top 50 course in all of our opinion. Can\'t wait to play it again soon.

We have been travelling the country, playing various courses over many years, and we came to Broadstone with great expectations. We arrived on a day when the forecast wasn't great and received a walm welcome. We had all looked at the photos of the course on the website, and it lived up to our hopes. Every hole presented a new challenge and an excellent test of golfing skills. I don't think I have ever been on a course, where I have said so many times to my playing partners, when leaving one hole to go to the next ' wow, look at this hole' It seemed like almost every one. We had a thoroughly wonderful time and congratulate everyone from the greenkeeping staff to the people behind the bar for making our golfing weekend extra special.

What a golf course!! I have played many of the great Harry Colt courses and I have to say Broadstone is up there with the best of them. The layout is superb giving you that feeling of being on your own hole all of the way round. The condition was superb with some of the trickiest greens I have played especially the beautiful short par 3 6th and 16th. Every hole on the course is strong with the standout hole on the course being the 13th which is rightly rated as one of the best par 4's in the country. Though visitors times are limited the welcome from the pro shop and clubhouse staff was first class. It is well worth it's place in the top 100 and in my opinion is comfortably a top 50 venue. STUNNING.

Was invited to play Broadstone this week and had heard a lot of good reports about it. I was not dissapointed!! The course was in outstanding condition and if there is a better heathland layout in the country i'm yet to see it. The greens are frighteningly quick but a great challenge. By far the best of a strong group of golf courses in the area. The welcome from the professional shop was first class and we could not have been made more welcome from staff and members alike. A MUST PLAY!!

Had read quite a bit about Broadstone before our fourball went to play it, and the bulk of the reviews were that it was an outstanding course - have to say they were correct. The variation in holes is amazing (no two the same) and the quality of the greens were the best I have ever experienced. Our fourball all defenitely go back for another game in the near future.

In my view, Broadstone Golf Club is just simply the best course in the Bournemouth/South Dorset Area. It is a pure Heath and Heather type of course which stretches away deep into the Dorset countryside from the clubhouse, and after the 1st, only the hole being played is in view right until the final 18th hole. Once bisected by the Somerset & Dorset railway, or to many, known as the Slow & Dirty, the course itself albeit with a few changes, is the same now as it has been for donkeys years. Whilst there is not a weak hole on the course, there are two par 4's that must rank on anybodies top 50 holes in the country, - the 7th is as tough and delightful hole as can be found anywhere where the line from the tee is a quite unbelievable marker post. The drive though is the easy bit, for if you are fortunate enough to get a good one away, you climb to you ball to see a huge chasm in front of you with the green sitting seemingly miles away on another planet!. With bunkers and heather galore in front of the green, for most sensible players, the best idea is to get to the bottom of this chasm and then pitch on - you might just get a 5 that way!. The other outstanding hole is the 13th. The Drive here is pretty straightforward and one might wonder what all the fuss is about with this hole...the sting here is that quite unseen from where your drive has probably finished, is another huge chasm, directly in line with the pin........the pin has to be approached from the right hand side......don't doubt this info!!. Whilst these two holes are absolutely top class, the other 16 are not far behind.....If you are in Dorset, thi is a must play

Great course with plenty of character and challenges
Fantastic course in great condition. A number of brilliant holes, the seventh being particularly interesting upon first visit! Pristine club house, with great food and perfect points.

Weather was overcast about 16-17 degrees. Tee'd off at 10:20 and didn't catch the next group up til 18th hole. The greens are patchy in their condition but overall the course was in good conditions.

Disappointing condition
Played on fairly nice conditions in early April but to my surprise was pretty disappointed with the condition given this hasn’t been the wettest of winters.
Course has a great layout, lots of challenge and some great settings.
However, the greens, many fairways and the fringes around the greens were all patchy whilst the tees were atrocious. I think for a top 100 course charging over £100 for visitors I’m expecting better to be honest.
Members and clubhouse service all very friendly just wish the course had been in better nick.
